Women to the end

Editor,

Since this was the week of the International Women’s Day celebration, I was reminded of the fabulous women who impacted my life.

Ruth Lydia, the momma, and Bonnie Joella, the wife of 54 years, plus Anna Buckman, my 6th grade teacher.

At 18, my first industrial job involved Al the foreman and 34 women. As a production foreman/supervisor for 76, 72 of them women; it was a learning curve.

My last 17 working years were as maintenance boss of a school district, which was akin to being married to 200 women.

Approaching my eighth decade, my request for launching the soul from the body is: A closed casket, everybody singing “What a friend we have in Jesus,” and eight women pallbearers.
