Whatever it is, finding the source and treating that is far better than only treating your symptoms. Just ask Dr. Max.

Dr. Max Norris, the newest staff member at the Innovative Wellness Centre at the Queen Anne Estate, specializes in treating migraines, stress, fibromyalgia, sciatica, anxiety, carpal tunnel and TMJ as well as other structural, energetic and immune disorders with a focus on wellness and lifestyle decisions. The goal is to ensure a longer and higher quality of life rather than a temporary fix.

Dr. Norris, or Dr. Max as many know him, has been listed as one of America’s Top Chiropractors and holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Meadowview Healthcare and Rehabilitation and was elected to the Panel of Experts of the ACA College of Acupuncture.

A certified naturopath, Dr. Max also practices nutritional and herbal therapy.

“Holistic health care is a natural approach to wellness that seeks to treat the whole body as a system rather than selected symptoms,” he explained. “Lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity and stress are all factors in one’s health.

“This approach uses only natural remedies and modalities with a focus on patient education and responsibility in respect to healthy lifestyle choices, stress management and a reduction in exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides. The idea of a holistic approach to health is as old as medicine itself. The body will heal itself if given a chance.”

Dr. Max believes good health starts from the ground up – literally – with the food grown in it and on it.

“The fact is, the foodstuffs we are sold through commercial media through the seduction of our taste buds is causing the premature aging and debilitation of an entire population,” he said.

“We can learn something from the Three Little Pigs on this: low quality building materials result in a low quality structure that breaks down easily, whereas better quality materials result in a more sound structure that will function more efficiently and better withstand the demands placed upon it.”

Dr. Max Norris will be available for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 10 a.m. at the Innovative Wellness Centre, 115 W. Van Buren, on the Queen Anne Mansion grounds. For appointments call (479) 878-0016.
