What would Mark say?

Editor,

“Right is right, and wrong is wrong, and a body ain’t got no business doing wrong when he ain’t ignorant and knows better.” Huckleberry Finn

Since, evidently, the Republicans are ignorant and don’t know the difference between right and wrong, I would like to educate them:

  1. Attacking Amazon because this president does not like the owner of the Washington Post is stupid because Amazon employs many workers;
  2. Refusing to allow the thousands of DACA immigrants to stay in the only country they have ever known is another stupidity;
  3. It is wrong to cut Medicare and MedicAid for people who need them;
  4. It is wrong for cabinet officials to spend taxpayer money for lavish travel expenses;
  5. It is wrong to appoint Bolton as National Security Advisor because he is a belligerent warmonger;
  6. It is wrong for our two Arkansas senators to be lackeys for Trump;
  7. It is wrong for Trump’s “base” to support a womanizing, dishonest man just because they assume his right-wing plans are “Godly;”
  8. It is right for the EPA to protect our air, water and lands, but Trump’s appointee hates his own EPA.

Mark Twain understood corrupt politics in his day. In our day, corruption is accepted as perfectly o.k. in Washington. Not much has changed, Huck.
