Transit Department Director Ken Smith told city council Monday that his department recently passed its audit, but that there are new policies for transit departments receiving funding from the federal government, primarily testing drivers for opioids. He had submitted copies of the new Substance Abuse Testing Program Policy provided by the Arkansas Department of Transportation and a resolution for adopting it.
Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 721.
