Timothy Paul Brandes July 29, 1971 – Aug. 29, 2018

Timothy Paul Brandes was born in Winona, Minn., on July 29, 1971. He was a fun-loving, outdoorsy and free kind of guy. He loved to fish and hunt anything from arrowheads and mushrooms to frogs and deer.

Growing up, he spent his young life between small towns in Wisconsin and Arkansas. As a young adult, Tim chose to settle and remain in rural Arkansas, always in remote places that were hard to get to but surrounded by natural beauty. He lived very simply and humbly, however, always contently.

He worked in construction as a machinist; usually in any area that required hands-on involvement. He worked for Henderson Construction, Watch Dock and Razorback Boat Lift off and on most of his adult life, and most recently was a welder for the same employer. Tim was always a hard worker and achieved his goal of buying his own home and property.

He was given the opportunity to celebrate the last weeks of his life with friends and family from all over the U.S. and took full advantage of the time he had. He recently made a profession of faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He peacefully passed through this life and entered the gates of Heaven on August 29, 2018.

Tim is survived by Pat, his greatest love, of the home; Sammy, his greatest treasure, of the home; Pam York, mother of Eureka Springs, Ark; Rick Brandes (Barb), father, of Fountain City, Wis.; Rici Gibbons, sister, of La Crosse, Wis.; Kim Reiter (Karl), sister of Richland, Mo.; Winifred Brandes, grandmother, of Winona, Minn.; Jimmy Henderson (Patsy), best friend and mentor, of Eureka Springs, Ark., and friends and relatives too numerous to individually recognize.
