Beaver Tailwaters
Fishing conditions on the White River have continued to improve this week, with anglers catching steady numbers of rainbow trout throughout the tailwaters. Water temperatures remain favorable, and trout have been actively feeding during periods of both low and moderate generation.
Light spinning tackle has been producing the most consistent action. Small inline spinners, spoons, and natural baits have all accounted for fish, especially when presentations are kept light and drift naturally with the current. Early morning continues to be one of the best times to be on the water before recreational traffic increases.
A few walleye are still being caught by anglers targeting deeper current breaks and rocky structure. While they aren’t as aggressive as they were during the spring run, slowing your presentation and fishing methodically is still putting fish in the boat.
Guide Tip
Pay close attention to changes in water flow. When generation begins, trout will often reposition quickly along current seams and feeding lanes. Moving with the water instead of staying in one location can make a big difference in the number of fish you catch.
Looking Ahead
The forecast looks favorable for another productive week on the White River. Consistent water temperatures should keep trout active, while anglers targeting walleye will continue to benefit from fishing low-light periods and focusing on structure. Whether you’re an experienced angler or bringing the family out for the first time, the White River continues to offer some of the best trout fishing opportunities in Arkansas.
