Sipping with gratitude

Editor,

The Eureka Springs Community Center raises its glass in gratitude to all those who so generously donated their facilities, food, gifts, talents, energy, and expertise in making “SIPtember at the Creek” such a phenomenal success and so much fun! What a party.

The Great Grape Stomp took center stage with Team White squeezing out a victory over Team Red. What a truly “grape” competition. Thank you, Suzie Bell, Tim Freeman, Miranda Smith, Victor Smith, LeRoy Gorrell, Joel Walker, Jodi English Brown, and Suzanne Reed for your big feet and your bigger hearts.

The food was uniquely Eureka and consequently the best in all categories. Thank you. Rogue’s Manor Restaurant, Ermilio’s Italian Home Cooking, 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa, Local Flavor, Eureka Sweets, Main Street Kitchen and Wall Street Eats.

Thank you to Nicky Boyette for the sweet sounds; your musical talent added just the right touch to the atmosphere as did our artistic guides Hilka West-Irvin and Rigdon Irvin who led our budding Monets in the Sip and Paint event.

Thank you to our community businesses, artists, and shopowners for providing auction items that went above and beyond our expectations. And a special toast to our hosts Doug Hausler and his lovely wife, Edwige Denyszyn,  owners/operators of Keels Creek Winery and Art Gallery, who so graciously hosted the evening at their beautiful venue.

“SIPtember,” what a glorious month for your Community Center and you, its members. Cheers to one and all.
