The Arkansas Public Service Commission (PSC) has received a Request for Exemption for the Triple Oak Power facility in Crittenden County, Arkansas.
The quorum court in Crittenden County passed a county ordinance allowing a developer to construct a wind project even with objection from the citizens and in violation of Act 945 which regulates wind facility projects in Arkansas… sound familiar?
Citizens have a petition to be on the November ballot to amend that ordinance.
At issue is the possibility that if the PSC allows the requested exemption there is a possibility that the entire state of Arkansas would be endangered with increased and un-regulated wind facilities.
It is requested that if you oppose the PSC allowing this exemption, submit a comment to the PSC. Here are the directions:
1) Go to apsc.arkansas.gov
2) Click Online Services
3) Click Public Comments
4) Scroll to 26-050-U
5) Submit Public Comment and the submission form will come up
Fill it out and submit it.
