Pat Moore, a retired professional dog trainer and part time nature photographer, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, after a long struggle with multiple myeloma. Born July 5, 1942, to Elma and Eion Laine, Pat spent her childhood in Bayshore, Long Island, NY. Later, when her family moved to Lantana, Fla., she graduated from Lake Worth High School and went on to earn degrees at Palm Beach Community College and Troy State University in Alabama, in Physical Education. Pat went on to teach and coach swimming and softball and was an instructor teaching swimming to young people with disabilities.
When she moved to Dallas in the 1990s, she trained and earned degrees and certificates in computerized drafting, photography and professional dog training. She served as an obedience instructor for 30 years and trained dogs to serve in search and rescue and as service animals.
Pat is survived by her wife of 44 years, Rev. Kaye Lee-Moore, her two children, Robert Moore and Amy Henley of Dallas. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren all of the Dallas area, and many friends in both Dallas-Ft. Worth and the Eureka Springs area.
Pat will always be remembered as a “little ball of energy,” and for her multiple talents, helpfulness, friendliness and keen sense of humor.
