Old therapies give new life

Steven and Victoria Canter and their two sons were living in a remote area of Northern California when they decided to “rejoin civilization.” Steven had a background working about 30 years as a winemaker in Australia, South Africa, Tuscany, and the West Coast. He also ran a large biodynamic farm in California. Victoria had been a supplement manager for Whole Foods, and also did geriatrics and end-of-life care.

The area where they lived is one of the least densely populated in the U.S. In recent years, families with children left the area, leaving their sons with no friends to interact with. The family did a lot of research to decide where to relocate with little luck. Then, out of frustration, one day Steven closed his eyes over a map of the U.S. and put his finger down. It landed on Arkansas.

“I grew up in New England, and spent a lot of time in California,” Steven said. “Arkansas is not a place discussed in those places. We found out about Eureka Springs and were very intrigued with the healing properties of Eureka. We came out and visited, and it took only one day staying a hotel and putting my finger in Sweet Spring to know this was where I wanted to be.”

The couple were looking for a place where there is acceptance of alternative healing modalities. They recently opened Eureka Integrative Wellness at 3022 E. Van Buren (US62) in the shopping area with the giant metal chickens. They are offering treatments with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and a BioCharger NG that produces wireless transmission energy based on the work of Nikola Tesla, and Dr. Raymond Royal Rife (who developed the Rife Machine). The BioCharger NG also incorporates the therapeutic value of light and color therapy influenced by the work of Alexander Gurwitsch, among others.

There is an epidemic of illness in the U.S. with skyrocketing rates of illness.

“The mainstream paradigm is failing us,” Steven said. “A lot of people know that. They ask, ‘Why am I paying so much for insurance I can’t even use?’”

The Canters have averaged three hours a day studying alternative and conventional medicine.

“We are pretty much up on what is being said,” Steven said. “We don’t treat or diagnose illnesses. What we offer people are technologies that help balance critical aspects of wellness ignored by the mainstream for a long time. We have done research based on work done more than 100 years ago. We think of the early 1900s as the Stone Age, but some pretty remarkable things were being looked into in the 1920s and 1930s regarding cellular voltage and how it relates to illness and our own body’s ability to heal. Our bodies are pretty remarkable creations that have amazing healing powers when they are functioning properly. What we are able to do is help people remove some of these key blockages and your body just sort of takes over.”

Victoria said the BioCharger NG, in use all over the world, has more than 700 “recipes” for addressing issues as simple as a hangover or recovery after a workout.

“The recipes can be downloaded from the iCloud and take the guess work out of it,” Victoria said. “By supplying the right frequencies, the body is supported. The nature of the universe is electromagnetic. As Tesla said, ‘Our entire biological system, the brain and the Earth itself, work on the same frequencies.’ God is light and energy. It is a fascinating time to be alive. We are still learning the science but are now reaching the point of merging spiritual traditions and science. An example is fasting, which is common to all major religions. It is amazing what simply not eating can do to detox the body and promote natural healing.”

Steven said people can feel the energy from the BioCharger NG.

“People universally report they can sense what is happening almost like a wave of energy bubbling up through the spine to the middle of the body, a tingling in the body or bones,” he said.

The new business also offers a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. According to the Mayo Clinic, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber can be used for serious infections, bubbles of air in your blood vessels, and wounds that won’t heal.

Steven feels there is a synergy between the BioCharger NG and the hyperbaric chamber: Getting voltage in the body balanced allows oxygen to be taken up by cells.

“Cells get worn down by 5G cell tower radiation and all the electrical energy around us that can block the cells’ ability to function,” he said. “They lose the ability to take in oxygen, your main energy source. The oxygen takes toxins out of the cell. Use the BioCharger NG, balance your voltage, and hop into the hyperbaric chamber. The effects are multiple. It is pretty profound how you feel.”

Even though they were living what sounded like an idyllic lifestyle in Northern California, growing an organic garden, chickens and pigs, Steven had a few health problems.

“I had fallen into a state of despair and depression,” he said. “When I started my road to wellness and was introduced into these two modalities, I couldn’t believe the difference. It was like the dark clouds parted and a beam of light came through and hit me in the face. It was truly life changing. Now I wanted to live instead of just enduring life. I was looking forward to the future and became optimistic again. With that came the energy and ability to cook proper meals rather than get take out because you are so drained. Everything gets better.”

Stephen said he has been a cynic most of his life and wouldn’t have transitioned into integrative wellness unless he personally experienced the benefits.

“I don’t believe more people don’t know about this,” he said. “I want to help as many people as I can. The most satisfying thing is when people call back and say, ’Wow, that really did something for me. I feel much better.’ Money doesn’t compare to that.”

The Canters would like to see Eureka Springs be promoted as a destination for healing, which is consistent with the town being founded on the reputed healing powers of the springs.

“You can come to Eureka for a week, see great art and eat at wonderful restaurants,” Steven said. “Most metro areas have that. What is unique in Eureka Springs is the practitioners in different modalities. These are all the things needed now more than ever. “
