Editor,
I looked up synonyms for “beyond stupid:” shortsighted, ill-advised, unintelligent, unthinking, foolish, mean-spirited, and malevolent, to give only a few. I would apply any of these to the people who refuse to wear masks when Covid is so prevalent in our county.
In the name of “personal freedom,” these people endanger the rest of us who care about our fellow human beings, who do not want anyone to get sick, or die, from a preventable virus.
I think the Eureka Springs City Council should mandate that everyone within our city limits wear a mask. Then, our police and our citizens can politely demand that the person either care about her/his fellow humans or go to some other place that does not care about public health!
