Issue 7 dumped

This morning, Oct. 27, the Arkansas Supreme Court disqualified Issue 7, the Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act, ruling that 12,000 signatures didn’t comply with laws regarding registration and reporting of paid canvassers.

That left the act with 2,500 fewer signatures than required to be on the ballot.

The Supreme Court vote disqualifying the petition was 5-2 with Interim Chief Justice Howard Brill dissenting, saying that a retired judge assigned by the court to review the petitions said more than enough valid signatures were submitted. Brill said people should be permitted to vote on the initiative, and their votes counted.

officials are little more then bought and paid for puppets of big pharmaceuticals, amongst others, and should be ashamed of themselves. amazing how unamerican you can be when you’re running unopposed.

  2. my guess is,they knew it was going to pass overwhelmingly and decided to pull a joseph stalin and just not count the votes. the boys at the baptist church would be proud. so much for democracy and working within the system.
