Our sweet dog, Molly, got loose this morning during her potty break and ended up slipping off our bluff that overlooks the White River. She tried to stop at the bluff but with the ice she ended up falling right off the bluff. She fell about 10 feet onto a ledge and could not find her way back up to safety.
I called the fire department and they suited up and came out to help Molly. First responder/EMR Phil climbed down the bluff and was able to clear some brush so Molly could climb up to safety.
They had to deal with ice, sub freezing temps and her barking at them in fright, but they never gave up.
They are true heroes to me and my family today!
