From central Missouri comes Dawson Hollow, a five member, multi-instrumental preview of Indie-Folk’s future. Although their age seems to defy it, they have years of experience due a childhood spent on the road as family group Union Link. Dawson Hollow was born when the siblings created a new sound for their generation. Debut release, Boy of My Youth, shows the fusion of folk with indie-rock that respects their orgins with fresh expression. With enough fans to raise an impressive $96,000 in a KickStarter campaign to produce a first release, their sound has earned a listen. Hear them at Chelsea’s on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
