When Riley and Kelly Ellis of RK Ellis met Caleb Lindsey, songwriter and creator of the locally favorite band Fossils of Ancient Robots, there was a melding of creative juices that brings us Barbarians of Tomorrow. The “all genre concept” of the Ellis Brothers and the synth rock influences of Lindsey come together for a unique sound, their love of all things ‘80s peeking through. The songwriting is superb, the single “Another Way” exploring social issues and the next generation with a sound that is modern even with the influence of another era. Barbarians of Tomorrow will have their debut performance on Thursday at the Purple Flower Silent Auction on the 6th floor of the Basin Park Hotel. The event starts at 6 p.m., music at 8 p.m., with proceeds going to Domestic Violence Resource and Support.
