New commissioners Judy Holden and John Nuckolls faced an easy agenda for their first Historic District Commission meeting Feb. 21 as six commissioners wasted no time approving these applications for Certificates of Appropriateness:

  • 217B N. Main – add stairway
  • 2 Charles Circle – new storage shed
  • 107 E. Van Buren – new back door awning and stoop; demolish shed
  • 10 Eugenia – new fence

The commission also approved these items on the Consent Agenda:

  • 12 ½ S. Main – change sign
  • 58 Spring – move sign

The Consent Agenda items are Level I applications that the City Preservation Officer believes to be in accordance with the design guidelines.

  • 110 Spring – general maintenance and repair
  • 60 Mountain – extend COA six months
  • 29 Elk – repaint same colors
