Well, this week was a good week to fish as every week is in my book. Man, you need to look at our Facebook pictures @ Custom Adventures Guide Service. We are getting the trout out of the river. Also, the kids had a good week with my man Doug the River Man teaching the kids how to fish on the Kings River.
Next coming weekend is going to be the same thing, a learning experience for kids to get on the water and learn the outdoors, not devices.
It was a great weekend I did not get to have all the fun as planned because of family issues. But next week is in … going to help the River Man out. He has another class this weekend for kids to learn to fish.
Kings River is a treasure. It offers some of the best smallmouth fishing in this part of the country. As for kiddos, the panfish are a sure bet bite. All you need is a bobber and any type of live bait.
Send the kids out to turn over some rocks in the yard and you will have the perfect bait… worms, crickets and dirty ‘ol bugs. Hang them below the bobber with a small split shot weight and hang on. Nothing more fun than watchin’ the bobber go under. It’s the perfect way to get kids excited about catching fish.
For the big kids, just size up the size of the bobber and hook, add a minnow or small bream and hold on… the bigger the bait the bigger the catch. This works in all bodies of water.
