I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving and the rest of the year should remind us to be grateful for who we have and also what we have. As I have said before we live in one of the most wonderful places in the world, at least in my eyes.

As a child, my grandmother brought me here for vacation one year, even at a young age I knew this is where I was destined to be. Back then I fell in love with the town of Eureka Springs and all its beauty, but mostly its loving, caring, genuinely nice people. As it still is today.

People who visit here ask why is everyone so friendly?  Visiting big cities from time to time I see why they ask that question. When I get back here, I think to myself each and every time why did I leave in the first place?

With all that said let’s talk about some beautiful spots to hit to get into some good fishing. Beautiful Beaver Lake is still hot on some stripers and crappie. I personally can`t get my crappie this year, when I catch a striper it’s all luck. You almost have to have a boat to target these fish. I suggest getting a guide.

The White River has been very good for trout either in a boat or off the bank. There are many different accesses. Stop by the Beaver Dam Store located near the dam for maps, tips on what baits, lures, and flies are hot for that day.

Table Rock Lake reports say they are catching a few short walleye. Where there are short ones there are also longer ones, you just might have to go deeper.

This week’s weather was made for fishing so get out and get some. Thursday and Friday are going to be in the 70s.

If you would like to go trout fishing or just go out on the water sightseeing, give us a call at Custom Adventures Guide Service (479) 363-9632. December is somewhat open. Richard Lee Rusher is running a winter special. The perfect time to take a kid fishing.
