A good day in the neighborhood. Travis is 9 years old and from Iowa showing off his first-ever walleye, 20 inches.

It’s beginning to look a lot like walleye season. Everyone seems to be jumping the gun. For months people have been fishing searching for walleye.

I do believe that a few folks use the excuse to get out of the house to get away from the spouse and it has been beautiful weather.

In previous years it was always the last two weeks of March when they were here spawning, laying their eggs in the shallows of our beautiful White River. Then the first two weeks of April they will be going back to Table Rock Lake and then the white bass will come to visit.

The males come up about two weeks before the females do. We are catching males mainly right now so do the math. Although all the walleye don’t go back, some of them are like the people who visit our beautiful Eureka Springs Arkansas and say WOW I really love this place, I don’t think I’m going back.

That’s why when one is caught throughout the year nobody’s totally shocked. Also, you can catch them year-round in Beaver Lake and Table Rock Lake so get out there and get with it and send me a picture. Or do it the easy way and book a trip with us at Custom Adventures Guide Service look us up for more walleye pictures on Facebook or give us a call at (479) 363-9632. Take a kid fishing, like we did Travis.
