Thanks for playing the guardian angel yesterday. We were down to our last option and you helped save the day. The windsock looked aligned with 25 but I believe you said the wind was 311 at 35 gusting 42? At any rate, my hands were full.
Flying a light plane cross-country is all about managing the risks and making timely adjustments when things change. Yesterday was a good lesson in just how fast things can change.
I plan to bring the car back around 1500 today and fly the plane home.
