Getting shots

459

Editor,

All of us have grown weary of wearing masks and taking special care not to be close to others. We’re tired of it and can do something about it.

If you were to step on a rusty nail you’d likely go to the clinic or pharmacy to get a tetanus booster without questioning its politics. You’d do that. So why the hesitancy to get the vaccine against covid-19? It won’t prevent your solitary agonizing death from lockjaw but would protect you from an agonizing and lonely death on a ventilator and protect those you live with and work with and with whom you’d likely love to dine out in a newly restored national economy. So, to those still on the fence, please get your shots ASAP to protect others and yourself.
