The white patriarchy is crumbling and its grasping at remnants of the past is on public display through the visage of Donald Trump. Since his moral and political corruption, greed, and criminality are being exposed, he deflects by spewing lies and weaving tales of deception; futilely swatting at the karmic web that is wrapping tightly around him and his cronies.
Pastors preach to their flocks on morality and the wages of sin being death, but avert their eyes and ignore transgressions from their stated moral leader, POTUS. This hypocrisy shows that their true intentions are not morality, but control of people they deem inferior; women, people of color, LBGTQ and immigrants of any status.
They have no concern for any child who has been born, nor the unborn for that matter. They only want to control women and their bodies.
Yet, in spite of or because of this, American women of every race are persisting. Record numbers of women are running for and winning public offices. While patriarchies are indulgent of “the devoted mother,” it’s the wild woman who is not afraid to show her strength by standing and leading who strikes terror in them.
Men who fear their dominance slipping away show this fear through jealousy, hatred and violence. For centuries men have used the violence of rape and femicide as a declaration that they are superior beings in strength and fury, with little or no desire to exert self-control over those emotions.
Everything is impermanent, attitudes change, introspection and reasoning occur, and the freedom of not having to control another human being to be a human being oneself is so liberating that like a caged bird whose door has been opened, some huddle in the corner afraid to fly out into the expanse of equality.
A blue wave of compassion is building and although a vile torturer is now head of the CIA, the horror brought about by patriarchal ignorant evil can be washed away at the ballot box. Register! Register others! Vote!
