Sagittarius – Colorful, Complex & Always on a Quest
Each of the signs, from Aries to Pisces, streams a beam of light into the Earth. In Sagittarius it is a beam of directed, focused Light, revealing the path ahead. It is the Light of the Soul directing & guiding humanity. Sagittarius is always on a quest, bow and arrows in hand, following that “beam of light.” Within that beam are the goals the Archer envisions.
Sags are great philosophers, teachers, publishers, professors, truth-tellers, wanderers, adventurers – always armed with goals, aims and self-realized inner-truths. The seeking and wanderlust seen in Sagittarius are the outer manifestation of an inner spiritual seeking ever pushing the Sagittarius onward. It seems Sag is always on a pilgrimage, seeking one goal after another.
Sagittarius is a colorful and complex sign, receiving and distributing three Rays – 4, 5, & 6 – from three stars in the Big Dipper. These Rays give the Sag disciple harmony, knowledge, desires and aspirations.
Sagittarians can be zealous, passionate, ardent and fervent. All these are the impulses needed to propel the rider on the white horse forward, leaving behind the deep mysterious waters of Scorpio with its Nine Tests and trials, to gallop onward over the plains, hills & dales in search of the mountain to be climbed in Capricorn (seeking the Sun and the rites of Initiation).
Silence – In Scorpio we are silent in order to hear the call to Discipleship. In Sagittarius, still in training, we are silent in order to hear the voice of the Teachers. Silence is maintained until one encounters another fellow traveler also on the esoteric path. Then in silence, true words, conversations and philosophies are shared and exchanged.
Sagittarius always has a quest and a purpose, known or unknown. Nothing deters the “rider” from achieving goal after goal. Thus, the meditative keynote for Sag on the Soul level: “I see the goal, I reach that goal, and then I see another.”
Underneath Sag’s joviality, love of food, travels, persistent philosophical thoughts and meanderings, love and mastery of music, there is a fusion of all energies, polarities and opposites taking place, creating out of the seeming constant movements, conflict and chaos (Ray 4), a great harmony (Ray 4) and synthesis are revealed.
ARIES: A sense of newness and regeneration are transforming your interactions and relationships. It’s important to assess all shared finances and resources. Investigate the merging of your resources with another. Be sure trust is your foundation. You could experience intense feelings of love or passion, anger or resentment. Also joy. It’s best to be aware of these so that you can choose which one you want as a daily companion.
TAURUS: The original foundations and purpose of your relationship come forth, like a surprising and fragrant winter bloom. Patterns that have become embedded in the relationship are slowly disintegrating, calling forth new levels of relating and a deeper love. This includes relationships with intimates, family, friends and partners. A new level of vulnerability has emerged, as well. This is good. We can now stand next to you with equanimity.
GEMINI: What changes are occurring in your daily life, in work interactions and in health? What new areas or need have you considered serving? What events and disciplines align with your values? What habits do you wish to eliminate? What new rhythms do you want to cultivate? Is something draining your vital energy? Whatever it is, it signifies time for rest, time for solitude and time to choose new ways as the old ways come to a close. Oh, dear. That’s a difficult choice to make.
CANCER: You’ve felt very serious these past weeks, maybe months and years. Lightness and ease are needed in your life. It’s good to assess what joy means to you, when you last experienced joy and how you could bring it forth now. Sometimes joy leaves us when a significant person dies. We feel we can no longer feel joy. Only endless sorrow. However, joy is an outgrowth of the Soul. Write, paint, garden, dance, sing. These bring joy. Joy is a choice.
LEO: It is most important to consider what nourishes you. Family patterns nourish until they are no longer useful for growth. Then you must create new life patterns, new rhythms that sustain and vitalize. It’s important to cultivate financial stability too, not allowing yourself purchases without careful assessment. Create a foundation that is strong and solid for the times to come. You will care for the kingdoms in need as the Kali Yuga further unfolds.
VIRGO: The power of the stars is focused in your mind, your mental (thinking, learning) realm. Any anxieties or worries can be eliminated through the reciting of mantras and through praising all that’s in your life. Praise actually changes our lives. Praise is alchemical. It’s a bridge from self to others. It provides us with a level of truth. It calls forth all that’s hidden, in hiding, and afraid to come out. Praise changes the cellular structure of our bodies.
LIBRA: Something new in your life is creating a feeling of enthusiasm. Ardent is the word that comes to me here. Something else in your life is bringing you out of the shadows. A new level of assessment where you shift your values. One thing is still missing though. It’s the art and act of forgiveness with another that keeps you seeking and never finding. What needs forgiving? Your self-worth soars when this forgiveness is given. So much of your life’s vitality depends on it. The one to be forgiven yearns for it… for you.
SCORPIO: Your new year began with your birthday and your self-identity shifted which it does each year to newer and greater expansiveness. Each year things that hurt, that disappointed, that left you in a state of confusion are released. Each year a change appears that brings forth new trust, invigorating you to investigate deeper mysteries of life. We look to you for valuable and illuminating information from your discoveries. Carry on, Disciple.
SAGITTARIUS: It’s hopeful that you are seriously considering to set a time aside for retreat and contemplation. A time of silence. You have much more time for this opportunity as the Sun is in your sign. Then you stand in the spotlight. No more doors to hide behind. It’s important to be aware of dreams these days and nights, both waking and sleeping dreams. They provide ease from the past and a picture of the future. Next month – change again.
CAPRICORN: It’s good to list, in a private journal (or drawn on a wall, in a painting or quilt), over and over, your hopes, wishes and dreams for the future. Stating them, pondering and brooding over them clarifies for you their value and brings them down into the first level of manifestation. Then they anchor on Earth. Who shares these goals with you? Is there a group that would benefit from your stated goals? You have the ability to transform everyone with your ideas, knowledge and words. And humor!
AQUARIUS: If your actions, work, thoughts, feelings, desires, aspirations align with your deepest passions then everything comes forth successfully. Remember at all times your responsibilities to those who care for, love and depend upon you. Remember always to share what you have. What you provide others, returns to you ten-fold. You’re on a mission. Whether it’s travel, publishing, or caring for the animal kingdom, what you do makes a difference. Remember to give away what you no longer use.
PISCES: You continue to wonder about your future, and the tasks you are to perform. You see the needs in the world and offer all that you have on inner spiritual levels. Your prayers are heard & taken to the earth. At times both your curiosity and your faith are tested helping you get to the root of your beliefs. You find yourself in different realities, different worlds, often your destination unknown. This applies to outer and inner realities. Only your intuition is intact. Rely on it. You are the ship’s captain.
