It’s Diversity Weekend and there is no better place to celebrate the joy of being you than Eureka Springs! From a dance party shaking Upstairs at Grotto, drag shows at Eureka Live or Drag Queen Bingo at Brews there is a lot to choose from.
One good choice is Jessamyn Orchard who performs twice on Saturday; Basin Park from 1-2 p.m. and Brews at 8 p.m. (right after that bingo) with guest Ryan Dunn. Jessamyn characterizes her music as Feminindie (feminine + indie) folk. Her songs are sad and poignant, the acoustic guitar or keyboard lending a haunting quality you will think about for a while. February 2018 saw the release of Consequences, an EP described as a poetic exploration of physical and emotional consequences we face daily.
