Police Corporal Aaron Ingle of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department made a presentation at Monday’s HISID meeting regarding law enforcement activity in the district for April. Ingle said there were 184 calls including one breaking and entering, 10 civil calls, six domestic violence calls, two calls regarding fraud, one missing person, one reckless driver, one stolen vehicle, one suicide, 23 suspicious person calls, five thefts, three threats, two trespassing, five accidents, seven welfare checks, two felony arrests and three misdemeanor arrests.  Ingle also stated there were 17 traffic stops resulting in seven citations and 10 warnings. Ingle encouraged residents to take their outgoing mail to the inside mailbox at the post office to prevent theft from their mailbox outside their home. 

He said an arrest was made apprehending Jeremy Martinez-Brooks who is believed to have committed mail theft, check forgery, identity fraud, and theft of at least one vehicle. Ingle was involved in the pursuit and successful apprehension saying, “It was a great outcome. Nobody got hurt. He went to jail. He was the ringleader. And I hope he goes to prison.”  Ingle stated Martinez-Brooks was targeting Cornerstone Bank, and thanked them and the community for their cooperation of this arrest.
