Council voted Monday to approve the first reading of an ordinance intended to retire the 2008 and 2010 water and sewer bonds earlier than expected. After discussion clearing up language, the reading passed unanimously.
Alderman Terry McClung moved to put Ord. 2265 on its second reading when Bob Thomas asked what was the hurry. He and Kristi Kendrick voted No to have a second reading, but a 4-2 vote prevailed. Vote to approve the second reading was 5-1, Kendrick voting No.
