October 2

10:19 a.m. – An unrestrained beagle rampaged through a bathhouse. Animal Control went to the scene, but the animal was already up the street with its owner.

12:55 p.m. – Animal Control followed a tiny white dog home so its owner could hear first-hand about the leash ordinance.

3:35 p.m. – Individual was picked up on an ESPD warrant for failure to appear.

6:07 p.m. – Constable watched for a reportedly reckless driver headed to town from the east.

October 3

9:52 a.m. – There was a private property accident at the Middle School.

2:10 p.m. – Two vehicles bumped in a parking lot. No injuries.

2:27 p.m. – There was a two-vehicle accident at the top of Planer Hill. Injuries unknown and the vehicles towed.

4:51 p.m. – And there was a one-vehicle accident on Main Street.

9:42 p.m. – Constable checked an open door at a private residence.

9:44 p.m. – Constable checked an unsecure door at the school track.

October 4

7:53 p.m. – There was a noise complaint on the east side of town.

October 5

10:23 a.m. – Witness reported a motorist was driving a vehicle not road-worthy near the Middle School. Driver was apparently not able to keep the vehicle in the correct lane of traffic. Constables arrived on the scene and advised the driver the vehicle was not allowed on the road until it was adequately repaired.

10:52 a.m. – Individual claimed his license plate had been stolen off his car.

11:55 a.m. – Renter maintained the landlord had entered her apartment without permission and had removed a weed-cutter and gas can.

2:22 p.m. – Person downtown said the same person she reported harassing her yesterday was at it again. Constables patrolled the area but did not encounter the subject.

2:49 p.m. – Innkeeper told ESPD a very intoxicated individual asked about a prior employee and then drove away toward the west. Constables watched for the vehicle.

5:19 p.m. – Witness reported an intoxicated person trying to get into a vehicle. Constables responded and arrested the person for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

5:30 p.m. – Unsupervised dogs were allegedly cavorting on the elementary school playground, but they disappeared before constables arrived.

6:04 p.m. – Animal Control was notified of a dog biting a pedestrian.

October 6

7:55 a.m. – Merchant reported vandalism to a sign.

11:27 a.m. – Constable responded to a two-car accident on US 62.

8:34 p.m. – Three baby deer scampered along a section of US 62 heading out of town going west.

8:54 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI and driving left of center.

October 7

11:13 p.m. – Constable went to a motel because someone was noisy.

October 8

12:15 a.m. – One car apparently bumped into another one in a parking lot.

12:34 a.m. – Disturbance downtown attracted constables.
