March 6

6:09 a.m. – Central dispatch alerted ESPD to a possibly reckless driver headed toward town from the north. Constables watched for but did not encounter the vehicle.

10:35 p.m. – Constables watched for a vehicle stolen from Holiday Island within the past seven hours. The vehicle was later discovered by Springdale PD.

10:45 p.m. – Central dispatch reported a possibly inebriated driver had stopped at a restaurant. Constables responded, but the vehicle was not there.

10:59 p.m. – Burglar alarm was tripped at a business on US 62. Constables found the building secure.

March 7

1:26 p.m. – A daughter had not been able to make contact with her mother for several days, so she asked for a welfare check. The constable found the mother doing well.

1:33 p.m. – ESH staff asked about a vehicle parked in their lot for a couple days. Constable determined it was not stolen nor did it belong to anyone at the hospital.

4:33 p.m. – Staff at an inn saw two males in the parking lot sharing a joint and then urinating on the ground. They were nowhere to be found when constables arrived.

5:51 p.m. – Constable went to Black Bass Lake to retrieve a hypodermic needle found there.

March 8

7:14 p.m. – Passerby noticed a vehicle in front of a tourist lodging along US 62 was in a ditch and apparently high-centered and unable to move. Constable filed a report.

8:20 p.m. – Caller claimed her sister was violating a protection order from Barry County by being in the company of her ex-husband and minor children. Constable went to a possible location, but the vehicle was not there.

8:40 p.m. – Constables towed a vehicle out of a ditch near the western edge of town.

March 9

12:44 a.m. – Alarm was triggered at a business on North Main, but the constable found the building secure.

2:06 a.m. – Resident near downtown reported a car alarm was blaring and people near the vehicle were yelling. Responding constable learned there had been an angry verbal episode.

4:18 a.m. – Vehicle on US 62 hit a deer toward the eastern side of town.

5:52 a.m. – Another deer was hit on a street above downtown.

7:45 a.m. – Staff at a business asked for a constable to pick up an ID left on the premises by a customer. Staff also wanted the constable to make it clear to the customer he was no longer welcome.

1:07 p.m. – Resident claimed someone stole his prescription medication.

1:40 p.m. – Witness reported a motorist had backed into gas pumps and left the scene on US 62. Constable initiated a traffic stop and arrested the driver for DWI and driving on a revoked license.

2:26 p.m. – Constable on patrol checked on a dog locked in a pickup. He found the windows were lowered a bit, there was food and water in the vehicle and the animal did not display any distress.

5:09 p.m. – Individual requested a welfare check on a suicidal male, but the constable was not able to locate him.

9:26 p.m. – Gas station attendant asked for help removing an intoxicated person from the premises. Constable arrested the person for public intoxication.

March 10

8 a.m. – Caller at a business on the eastern end of US 62 said a large gopher, possibly injured or ill, was lingering near the front door. Constable determined it was a beaver and took it to a veterinarian.

12:50 p.m. – Resident told ESPD her car had been taken from her residence. All nearby authorities were notified. The vehicle was later discovered just east of downtown.

1:13 p.m. – During the search for the stolen vehicle, a constable encountered an individual with an outstanding CCSO warrant. A deputy processed the vehicle and took custody of the individual.

March 11

8:28 a.m. – Central dispatch alerted ESPD to a 911 hangup call from a disconnected cell phone. Constable could not locate the caller.

9:39 a.m. – Domestic upheaval prompted a response by constables who arrested one person for domestic battery and domestic assault. The other participant was arrested on a warrant out of CCSO.

10:57 a.m. – Several calls came in about a possibly inebriated person walking along US 62 east of downtown. Constable arrested her for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

11:04 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI, driving left of center, obstructing governmental operations and implied consent.

2:21 p.m. – Resident was concerned about a suspicious van parked outside his residence. Constable searched for but did not find its owner.

2:44 p.m. – Constable filed a report on a damaged utility box.

2:50 p.m. – There was a two-vehicle accident downtown.

March 12

7:35 a.m. – Staff at a tourist lodging reported an individual passed out in his van. Constable found him in a restaurant and arrested him for public intoxication.

10:32 a.m. – Constable checked on a burglar alarm at a business south of town and found the business secure.

12:10 p.m. – There was a two-vehicle accident south of town. No injuries.

1:09 p.m. – A grandparent requested a welfare check on a two-year old granddaughter and provided information regarding a possible location and vehicle. Constables found the suspect vehicle at a business on US 62 and arrested one individual on warrants out of Berryville and CCSO. Another person was arrested for violating a protection order. The child was released to the grandparents.

2:23 p.m. – Caller said he arrived at his residence to find someone had broken in and items were missing. Constable gathered information for detectives.

11:44 p.m. – As a result of a traffic stop, the driver was arrested for DWI#3, implied consent, driving left of center and driving on a suspended license. A passenger was arrested for second offense of third degree assault, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

March 13

12:47 a.m. – Tow truck driver asked for a constable to check on a call he had received about a vehicle in a ditch. Constable found there was no damage and the owner of the vehicle did not a report.
