Oct. 10

6:30 p.m. – A private property accident got a report.

9:03 p.m. – Officers assisted CCSO for report on a domestic disturbance.

9:25 p.m. – Fireworks were reported going off, but officer didn’t find or hear any.

11:01 p.m. – When officers went downtown because of a possible domestic, the couple said they were talking loudly, and everything was fine.

Oct. 11

4:29 p.m. – A vehicle parked in the road was treated as a traffic hazard.

5:55 p.m. – A possible domestic was taken care of.

7:20 p.m. – Officers were advised of a domestic in the county. They were unable to locate the subjects.

Oct. 12

5:36 a.m. – A man sleeping in his vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

7:32 a.m. – A clinic alarm was a false alarm.

8 p.m. – Officers responded to a male who was screaming, and they calmed him down.

Oct. 13

4:12 p.m. – Officers decongested a traffic backup at Hwys. 23 and 62.

7:19 p.m. – Officers were advised of a controlled fire on someone’s back porch.

11:42 p.m. – An anonymous caller reported a female standing outside a local bar. Officers made contact, the woman said she was fine, not intoxicated, and she didn’t need any help.

Oct. 14

8:59 a.m. – Officer who responded to a commercial burglary alarm found the doors secure and no movement in the building.

10:09 a.m. – Officers were told there was an erratic driver heading into town from the west. They did not locate anyone matching the description. CCSO was advised, as well.

10:22 a.m. – A report was taken regarding a female getting harassing communications from a former tenant.

10:25 a.m. – A male with a large dog was reported for swearing and threatening and refusing to clean up after his dog un-ate on private property. He was not located.

10:31 a.m. – A business owner said a former employee had not retuned keys, which were later returned.

11:02 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle that was parked on a residential street for three days, as seen on a security camera, was checked and found to belong to a neighbor.

11:31 a.m. – Caller said there was a dead buzzard in his driveway and had been another there yesterday. He was advised to contact AG&F because buzzards are a protected species.

12:40 p.m. – There was a report of a dangerous man with a machete, who had been involved in a domestic incident earlier in the day, walking from Leatherwood City Park toward town. Officers were unable to locate him and were then told he might be headed to Benton County. Their sheriff’s office was notified.

2:01 p.m. – A person was receiving harassing texts from an unknown individual. A report was taken.

3:07 p.m. – Officer who responded to information that a dog was inside a vehicle with the windows up on Spring St. determined that the windows were actually down and the dog was fine.

3:10 p.m. – A report was taken regarding decorative items being taken from a front porch on Pine St.

3:16 p.m. – A suspicious person was found to be intoxicated. He was transported back to rehab.

3:40 p.m. – Officer responded back to the same vehicle with the dog due to having been parked in a loading zone beyond the allotted time. A parking citation was issued.

4 p.m. – Officer untied traffic at the junction.

8:23 p.m. – Caller wanted a woman trespassed from private property due to a civil dispute. A report was taken.

9:39 p.m. – An intoxicated female sitting on a downtown sidewalk took a taxi to her hotel.

10:56 p.m. – The front door alarm at a highway business went off but the building was secure.

Oct. 15

12:09 a.m. – Another alarm at the same business, another check, building still secure.

1:59 a.m. – Caller from a motel said someone woke him up beating on his door. Officers located an intoxicated male nearby and assisted him to his hotel.

3:14 p.m. – Live music from a downtown restaurant was deemed too loud by a neighboring business.

4:46 p.m. – Back to the same restaurant due to complaints about loud music. Music was shut down before arrival.

6:23 p.m. – ESH was told they could call a tow truck on a vehicle parked in their lot for a few days.

6:59 p.m. – Officer responded to a false alarm at a highway business.

Oct. 16

1:01 a.m. – A gunshot was reported but responding officers didn’t hear or see anything.

4:49 a.m. – A man was arrested at a routine traffic stop.

8:37 a.m. – Officers did not encounter a reckless driver headed back toward the city limits.

12:11 p.m. – A dispute between downtown shop owners was soothed.

4:28 p.m. – A theft report was taken at ESPD.

5:17 p.m. – Music at a downtown restaurant was deemed too loud and officers made contact.

7:39 p.m. – Caller said his ex came to his hotel room and was causing problems. She was just leaving as officers arrived and he didn’t want to pursue the matter.

9:07 p.m. – Caller said someone tried to get into her apartment. Officers searched the area and found no one.

11:18 p.m. – An alarm was false.

Oct. 17

3:52 a.m. – A wanted man was arrested at a routine traffic stop.

10:04 a.m. – Officers were asked to do a welfare check on a female possibly having a mental breakdown. She was not located.

10:11 a.m. – A car was parked all wrong and the owner corrected that.

11:10 a.m. – An abandoned car in a hotel lot was verified as not stolen, so it was up to the property owner to have it towed.

11:21 a.m. – A report on a truck damaging a car at a church was taken.

11:45 a.m. – A hit-and-run got a report.

11 p.m. – Caller said a woman was screaming, and officers spoke with a neighbor who said he was outside and didn’t hear a thing. Nothing suspicious was found in the area.
