June 27

9:58 a.m. – Parents were unable to locate their son who was visiting yesterday. Officers checked area where his phone last pinged but did not locate him or his vehicle.

3:15 p.m. – A report was taken after a dog attacked someone on Wall St.

June 28

12:22 a.m. – Caller at a hotel said prank calls were coming from the same number. Officer made contact with the offender and said stop that.

12:41 a.m. – Caller reported smell of natural gas at a trailer park. The area was checked and neither the smell nor evidence of a gas leak was found.

12:56 a.m. – Officer on patrol found an abandoned vehicle near Harmon Park, contacted the owner, and said get the vehicle out of the roadway. The vehicle was not moved, so it was towed.

10:02 p.m. – Caller reported a suspicious male in the parking lot near Benton and Kingshighway. Surrounding streets and buildings were checked but no one was located.

11:57 p.m. – A man pulled over at a traffic stop was arrested.

June 29

12:52 a.m. – Caller said the key to her apartment was missing and she thought someone was in her apartment. When an officer arrived, she said her key was not missing. No report.

1:02 a.m. – Caller said he let his dogs out and now they are gone, but then a man came up out of the valley wanting to fight. Turns out the man who came out of the woods was a friend of the one with the lost dogs and had gone to find the dogs. Both subjects were intoxicated. The dogs came home and everybody went to bed.

2:10 p.m. – EMS responded to a man having medical issues.

June 30

2:31 a.m. – Officer on patrol found a man sleeping in his car in the Main St. car park. He was told to move along.

7:17 a.m. – A man was reported walking around in a field and yelling, but he was not located.

6:23 p.m. – A man at a trailer park accidentally stabbed himself. EMS was called and a report taken.

9:05 p.m. – A commercial alarm was checked and all was secure.

July1

9:57 a.m. – All was found to be secure after responding to a burglary alarm.

10:03 a.m. – A report of child neglect was checked, contact made, and a report taken.

2:32 p.m. – An active alarm turned into a false alarm.

7:55 p.m. – Caller said kids on skateboards were knocking on doors and trying to get into the house to sell pesticides. Officer contacted the kids and everything was fine and they weren’t trying to get into houses.

July 2

6:59 a.m. – People sleeping in a vehicle in a motel lot were encouraged to move on.

11 a.m. – Officers were advised of a possible drunk driver coming toward town. No vehicle matching the description was located.

11:18 a.m. – A baby deer got itself stuck in a crawl space at a Spring St. hotel. It was rescued and released into the wild.

12:55 p.m. – A disconnected 911 call with no number was checked, no one in distress was found.

5:27 p.m. – Caller said a phone was left on his porch, so an officer picked it up.

July 3

4:06 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to a possible domestic

4:47 a.m. – A noise complaint at a motel was dealt with.

9:59 a.m. – A female customer at a highway store was reported for yelling and disturbing other customers. She was gone on arrival, but video confirmed her identity and she was criminally trespassed from the property.

4:02 p.m. – Officers performed a welfare check, and all was found to be fine.

5:38 p.m. – Following up on a report of smoke coming from a house, officers found everything to be fine.

5:44 p.m. – A 911 call pinged but nothing was amiss.

10:42 p.m. – A reported erratic driver was not located.

11:01 p.m. – Caller reported harassment, so officers located the perpetrator and said to stop calling and texting. That person agreed.

11:48 p.m. – Caller said someone who was possibly intoxicated left with a small child in the vehicle. There was no contact, but a BOLO was issued to surrounding agencies.

July 4

12:21 a.m. – Officer on patrol encountered a small disturbance and told the parties to separate and go inside for the night.

10:31 a.m. – A possible drunk driver and a possible hit & run got a report.
