Oct. 12

2:39 p.m. – Officer found the owners of dogs that were reported left in a vehicle. Dogs had fresh air, water, and were fine.

4:53 p.m. – A woman called to report harassment. No report was necessary.

5:43 p.m. – Property was found on E. Van Buren and officer took possession of it.

6:10 p.m. – Subjects reported being on the roof of a downtown hotel were advised to no longer be there.

7:35 p.m. – A suspicious male was reported but after talking with him, no report was necessary.

Oct. 13

3:49 p.m. – A juvenile male was reportedly tearing up an apartment. Officers had a talk with him.

6:48 p.m. – Officer took information about a traffic stop.

7:10 p.m. – Officer spoke with a reported suspicious female.

9:06 p.m. – CCSO requested a welfare check on a male, but he could not be contacted.

Oct. 14

12:07 p.m. – A possibly intoxicated driver was reported in a grocery store parking lot but the individual was found to be fine when officer checked.

12:43 p.m. – Traffic congestion at Pendergrass Corner was reported but no clog issues were discovered.

No time given – CCSO was notified regarding a hit-and-run involving a school bus.

4:49 p.m. – A juvenile caller requested an officer so he could get his things from an apartment. Officer spoke with the parties involved.

5:33 p.m. – A truck that was blocking Armstrong St. was gone on arrival.

Oct. 15

4:27 p.m. – A two-vehicle accident got a report.

4:44 p.m. – Officer took information on an unattended death.

6:21 p.m. – Officers were on the lookout for a man impersonating an officer.

7:05 p.m. – An arguing male and female were gone when officer responded.

8:03 p.m. – Caller from a motel said the above-mentioned woman was back and arguing with her now. Officer spoke with both of them, then further calls came in regarding the woman.

8:31 p.m. – Officer took a theft report at a highway restaurant.

9:33 p.m. – An accident at a downtown bank got a report.

Oct. 16

4:45 a.m. – A room heater was determined to be the cause of the smell of smoke on the second floor of a hotel.

9:54 a.m. – A sick raccoon in the courthouse parking lot was dealt with by the animal control officer.

11:04 a.m. – A parking issue at the downtown art wall was resolved.

11:23 a.m. – A one-vehicle accident at Armstrong and Douglas Sts. required a response from EMS.

12:24 p.m. – A reported unresponsive female at a business was transported to ESH and there was no report.

5:23 p.m. – A stalled vehicle on Magnetic required a tow truck.

9:05 p.m. – When officers responded to a welfare concern they made contact with a man who was arrested on a warrant.

Oct. 17

12:04 a.m. – The county advised of a 911 call from a female at a motel who said she had taken a handful of pills and threatened suicide. When officers got there it was determined she had not taken any pills and she was intoxicated, not suicidal. There was no report.

12:56 a.m. – A motel guest complained about loud and belligerent people around a fire pit. The group returned to their rooms for the night.

2:06 a.m. – A second complaint came about a woman yelling on the motel balcony. Officers again advised everyone to stay in their rooms and keep the noise down.

12:03 p.m. – A harassment report was taken.

12:14 p.m. – A business alarm was checked and all was fine.

1:25 p.m. – Officer tracking down a 911 hangup found nothing out of the ordinary.

2:16 p.m. – People reported for walking around drinking were gone on arrival.

3:54 p.m. – A man was arrested at a liquor store for public intox.

6:56 p.m. – Caller said people were messing with his motorcycle. Officer spoke to all parties involved.

Oct. 18

1:33 a.m. – Motel guests were playing loud music outside, officer sent them inside for the night.

1:35 a.m. – A hotel guest reported that someone assaulted him at a local bar. A report was taken.

1:45 a.m. – A medical assist call was received from Center St.

6:22 a.m. – A guest reported for attempting entry to a cabin was confronted by officers. He told them when he stepped out of his cabin he got disoriented and tried to get in the wrong one. No report was required.

6:51 a.m. – Caller said a male was attempting to push a small dark pickup off the road near Pivot Rock Rd. Officers did not locate the vehicle.

8:08 a.m. ­– A two-vehicle accident on US62 pushed both vehicles off the road. Injuries unknown, but an officer responded to take a report.

12:52 p.m. – Caller claimed an older gentleman in a beat up vehicle was attempting to leave a store parking lot. Caller said he went east on US62 and he was concerned about the safety of the vehicle.

3:53 p.m. – Officer responded to a disturbance on Norris St. and said all was fine.

5:42 p.m. – Officer tried to make phone contact regarding a possible theft but no one answered.

6:12 p.m. – An intoxicated male on W. Van Buren was reported and arrested.

Oct. 19

1:22 a.m. – A disturbance on N. Main got a response.

4:30 a.m. – A highway business alarm went off but all was checked and secure.
