August 17

2:02 p.m. – Officer spoke with a female in reference to a civil issue.

2:23 p.m. – Responding to a welfare concern, officer was disregarded when a family member made phone contact with the subject.

2:35p.m. – A suspicious male on S. Main was contacted.

5:15 p.m. – Harassing phone communications on Spring St. were dealt with.

8 p.m. – Juveniles littering on the historic loop were not located.

9:23 p.m. – A citation was issued to a subject sleeping on the hospital steps.

11:01 p.m. – Burglary alarm at a highway restaurant was investigated and all was secure.

August 18

4:09 a.m. – Officers were called to check suspicious activity in a hotel parking lot.

7:23 a.m. – A theft report was taken over the phone.

9:08 a.m. – Officer spoke with an individual who was having an issue with a trespasser.

9:40 a.m. – One individual punched another at a rehab center, so an officer wrote a citation.

11:26 a.m. – A disturbance at an apartment led to the arrest of a woman for an outstanding warrant.

1:41 p.m. – A one-vehicle accident on Council St. got attention.

3:55 p.m. – A neighbor dispute on            Dairy Hollow Rd. needed tending.

6:30 p.m. – Caller claimed someone left a green SUV on her property and that qualified for trespassing, so officer took the information and had the vehicle towed.

11:17 p.m. – Officers made contact with a welfare concern and took the person to ESH.

August 19

11:10 a.m. – Caller said an item fell out of a passing commercial truck and damaged his fender. Parties exchanged insurance information and resolved it without a report.

11:55 a.m. – County dispatch alerted ESPD to an accident in front of Pizza Hut with unknown injuries.

11:57 a.m. – A one-vehicle accident on Center St. resulted in the driver being transported to ESH.

12:16 p.m. – A truck and trailer parked in a red zone on Spring St. caused high anxiety before it was moved.

1:04 p.m. – Officers were on the lookout for a black Hyundai Santa Fe stolen from the Hwy. 412 area yesterday.

1:54 p.m. – A patient on a 72-hour hold walked away from the hospital.

3:12 p.m. – Caller said he was told officers were looking for him. An officer responded and talked to him.

5:04 p.m. – Caller requested an officer to make contact with a female at a motel but she was gone on arrival.

6:51 p.m. – Caller said an intoxicated male in the store was stumbling and knocking things over. Subject was transported by EMS.

August 20

6:51 a.m. – A possibly suicidal person was transported from a business to ESH.

2:24 p.m. – Caller was concerned about an elderly male with a suitcase walking by the road. He was fine.

2:55 p.m. – A report was necessary in a neighbors’ dispute.

3:30 p.m. – A person wanted to make an unemployment report, which was taken.

3:55 p.m. – A vehicle on First St. that was hit the previous night got a report.

3:58 p.m. – Officers were on the lookout for a vehicle stolen in Rogers.

4:04 p.m. – Caller said there was a hit-and-run on private property, but no report was necessary.

4:06 p.m. – An open 911 call came in, the area was checked and nothing alarming was found.

5:12 p.m. – Caller said his girlfriend was upset and he wanted an officer so he could leave. Caller left with his belongings, officer talked with the girlfriend’s mother, and there was no report.

August 21

1:26 p.m. – Someone had the nerve to park in a reserved spot at city hall and that person’s vehicle got a ticket.

1:29 p.m. – Officer spoke with a musician about his being too loud.

5:12 p.m. – Caller said someone was filing unemployment under her name. A report was taken.

6:32 p.m. – Benton County sent a message about an erratic driver in a white Ford Fusion coming into this neck of the woods, but the Fusion was not located.

7:05 p.m. – Caller said a male and female were causing a disturbance, but when officer arrived, the couple claimed there was no disturbance.

7:25 p.m. – Caller said that following a domestic disturbance the male had left. He was arrested at a traffic stop.

8:16 p.m. – Caller said a guest had wandered into the woods behind a hotel and his wife believed him to be lost. Officer located the man and EMS checked him out and he was left in the care of his wife.

8:55 p.m. – Caller said an intoxicated male had fallen and was sitting on the steps of the Aud with minor abrasions, but caller also said they would go ahead and take him to Berryville.

August 22

12:13 a.m. – Caller wanted a welfare check on their son who was visiting Eureka Springs. Officer contacted the son, determined he was OK, and told him to call his parents.

4 a.m. – Call from a hotel security officer regarding a suspicious male in the parking lot going around vehicles and in-and-out of bushes was checked out and found to be a hotel employee cleaning up.

6:36 a.m. – Parked cars caused consternation at Elk & White Sts., and they were moved.

10:08 a.m. – An accident on E. Van Buren got a report.

1:20 p.m. – A reported intoxicated person on Van Buren was not found.

3:38 p.m. – Caller said there was a man arguing with himself and walking on E. Van Buren. Officer had spoken with the man earlier and he was cleared.

5:34 p.m. – Fayetteville Police gave ESPD information on a safety BOLO.

6:24 p.m. – CCSO said a woman wanted a welfare check on her granddaughter who was found to be OK.

6:46 p.m. – A customer causing a disturbance in a grocery store was dealt with.

7:07 p.m. – Medical assistance was required at a hotel.

9:07 p.m. – Two males, one reportedly extremely intoxicated, got into it with a front desk clerk, but were gone on arrival.

9:09 p.m. – A male at the hospital was refusing treatment and refusing to leave until he was assisted by an officer.

10:18 p.m. – Caller said a 911-hangup was a mistake.

10:39 p.m. – A male walking on the side of the road was checked and fine.

10:40 p.m. – Following a report of loud music, a highway bar turned it down.

11:58 p.m. – A male was acting strange and making motel guests uncomfortable. He was arrested for public intox.

August 23

12:02 a.m. – When an officer responded to a motel, he found that the male involved in a disturbance had already left. The female was told to contact ESPD if he came back.

12:14 a.m. – Officers responded to a call from a business regarding a female with a juvenile who had gone into a bar to pray for people. No report was needed.

8:17 a.m. – A black pickup parked on the sidewalk at Elk & White was being moved as officer arrived.

10:01 a.m. – Skateboarders in the middle of Main St. causing dismay were nowhere to be found when officers arrived.

4:10 a.m. – A local business’s music was deemed too loud, but no report was necessary.

4:25 p.m. – A report was taken on a Pivot Rock Rd. accident.

6:28 p.m. – A welfare check turned out OK.

6:51 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle in a parking lot turned out to be not suspicious at all.
