October 21

5:37 p.m. – Caller from a highway business asked that an officer deal with a vehicle where people were asking for gas money. Caller said customers were complaining and now getting harassed. Vehicle was gone when officer arrived.

5:59 p.m. – Caller asked that an officer talk to the driver of an RV that parked in a non-RV spot and stayed there. The RV driver did finally move after officer requested they stay out of that parking lot.

11:10 p.m. – A man who had fallen asleep on a laundromat floor was arrested for public intox.

October 22

12:39 a.m. – A burglary alarm at a highway business went off although it frequently goes off when there is no indication of misbehavior.

4:07 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle behind a highway business was reported and checked.

October 23

1:57 a.m. – Alarm. Highway business. Checked. Fine.

3:20 a.m. – Same as above.

11:44 a.m. – Caller talked to an officer about unauthorized use of a vehicle, and a theft report was taken.

3:21 p.m. – A 911 hangup was checked on but no contact was made.

10:29 p.m. – The sheriff’s office reported an accident of a van backing into a unit at a business and a report was needed.

October 24

1:45 a.m. – A welfare check was requested and EMS toned out, but patient refused treatment.

7:04 a.m. – Vehicles in a motel parking lot were reported as broken into. A report was taken.

8:45 a.m. – Caller reported finding personal identifications under a rock by the back door of a business. Officer took the IDs to return to their owner.

10:56 a.m. – A white male in a gray hoodie was suspected of possible shoplifting and camping out behind highway businesses.

1:58 p.m. – A woman who appeared intoxicated was reported for hanging out at a bank ATM. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

2:28 p.m. – A report was taken on an assault on Pivot Rock Rd.

7:47 p.m. – A call from a motel reporting suspicious activity was tended.

8:28 p.m. – An erratic driver was reported and stopped, but no report was necessary.

October 25

12:35 a.m. – An alarm went off at a highway business for no apparent reason.

3:04 p.m. – A theft report was taken in the ESPD lobby.

5:04 p.m. – A suspicious male was reported but officers were unable to locate anything.

8:43 p.m. – A parking issue on Spring St. demanded intervention and resolution.

10:40 p.m. – Officers went to the north city limits to possibly intercept a stolen vehicle, but it was not spotted.

October 26

12:07 a.m. – A male was arrested on Mountain St. for an outstanding warrant from Berryville.

12:59 a.m. – A hit-and-run report was taken from a downtown hotel that involved one of their shuttle vehicles.

1:55 a.m. – A disturbance at a Spring St. bar was quelled.

8:23 a.m. – An alarm went off at a highway business and found to be caused by a worker whose code wasn’t working, so the manager was on the way to take care of it.

8:43 a.m. – A mother called saying her son had left the night before and not come home. She told officer where the son was going, but his vehicle was not found.

11:56 a.m. – Congestion on Spring St. prevented a trolley from getting through, so an officer went down there and cleared it up.

1 p.m. – Another traffic blockage, this one on Jackson St. where vehicles couldn’t get through and towing was suggested.

3:12 p.m. – Caller said his neighbor’s car had been gone all day and he received a call from the neighbor’s phone but didn’t believe it was him and was concerned due to an incident from the day before. Officers were on the lookout.

4:10 p.m. – Apartment residents said a female had come back to the apartment next door to collect her belongings after an incident the day before. They said they heard screaming, and when officers called EMS to check on her she refused transport.

4:46 p.m. – Music considered too loud was reported on a hotel balcony on Spring St. and it was turned down.

6:52 p.m. – Caller said a male was climbing on the awning of a downtown restaurant and swinging from power lines. Officer took care of all that.

7:14 p.m. – A one-vehicle accident with no one around was reported.

10:13 p.m. – Loud music on E. Mountain was turned down following a complaint.

10:17 p.m. – Officer was flagged down and apprised of a fight in progress, but found nothing.

10:21 p.m. – Caller said a car was presenting a traffic hazard on Mountain and his granddaughter almost hit it, but it was gone on arrival.

10:44 p.m. – Caller from a business said her girlfriend has been abusive and she is afraid to go home, although she changed her story a few times. Officer checked on both of them and got them a taxi home.

11:03 p.m. – An officer was beckoned to deal with an intoxicated male who was offering cigarettes to juveniles.

11:06 p.m. – Caller complained about loud music and asked that officer make them stop, so they did.

October 27

12:23 a.m. – Caller said a woman had taken some pills, so EMS was toned out.

12:40 a.m. – Caller wanted an officer to talk to him, so the officer did.

1:22 a.m. – Officer talked to someone who had dialed 911 and the person was fine.

2:57 a.m. – A call about a possible domestic disturbance was checked and all was well.

10:09 a.m. – A witness said a vehicle was sideswiped by a truck that took off. A report was taken.

11:37 a.m. – A domestic battery was reported after a man got home, and he showed the mark on his face where he had been slapped.

2 p.m. – The driver of a grey Suburban, who had multi-colored hair, circled a motel parking lot really fast, then peeled out and almost hit another vehicle. The offending vehicle was not encountered.

4:48 p.m. – A woman said she just noticed a hole in the back window of her car, and a report was taken.

7:29 p.m. – Officer got information from a person who reported suspicious circumstances.

7:41 p.m. – Caller reported someone driving carelessly but that driver was not found.

7:50 p.m. – People were reported yelling and screaming on Pine St. but when officer arrived no one was in sight.

8:26 p.m. – People were now reported to be yelling, screaming and fighting on Pine St., but mysteriously nowhere around on arrival.

8:29 p.m. – Caller asked for an officer to take care of a person at her property who was breaking windows and is cut up. EMS arrived and took the man to ESH.

8:37 p.m. – After another call, officer went to check on yelling and screaming on Pine St., and again, no one was there.

9:57 p.m. – Caller requested an officer come to her house because there was an intoxicated man there whom she needed gone. He was arrested.

11:25 p.m. – Caller said a person was beating on a guy, so the beater was arrested.

October 28

2:34 a.m. – Caller wanted an officer to come and talk to him about a prior incident between him and his girlfriend.
