1:16 p.m. – Officer spoke to an individual over the phone regarding a possibly stolen van trailer.
4:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was issued a stern warning.
October 8
2:40 a.m. – Officer responded to Spring St. after receiving a call about an intoxicated male. Officer escorted him to his hotel room.
12:48 p.m. – A call came in about a domestic disturbance where a male fell from a balcony. EMS and ESPD responded and got to the bottom of it.
1:01 p.m. – Four or five wienie dogs were having an unattended big time on Harvey St. until Animal Control arrived and took them to their parents.
1:55 p.m. – Someone decided that a silver car that had been parked at Forest Lane and Stoppel Rd. for over 30 minutes was suspicious, but it was gone on arrival.
2:01 p.m. – So, a FedEx truck was being driven down Spring St. when a back door popped open and hit a parked Chevy Tahoe. Everybody made contact and told the truth, so no report was needed.
3:32 p.m. – A reported traffic accident on Planer Hill turned out to be incorrect information.
6:05 p.m. – A theft report was taken at police headquarters.
6:44 p.m. – A loose dog was reported near the roadway, but it managed to evade identification and elude capture.
8:10 p.m. – A woman at a hotel got reported for being drunk but she didn’t qualify for a report.
10:17 p.m. – Caller said a woman was acting weird and moving stuff in front of businesses, so officer called EMS and she was released to a family member.
11:35 p.m. – Yelling and screaming between a male and female on Pine St. was investigated but no one was found to be yelling or screaming.
October 9
12:54 a.m. – A male/female couple was reported yelling and screaming at each other on Van Buren. Officer successfully calmed and reasoned with the couple, thus no report.
3:14 a.m. – Business alarm on the highway, but all was fine.
1:35 p.m. – An individual who fell on Passion Pay Rd. required assistance from EMS.
5:17 p.m. – A disturbance at a residence on Mountain St. required a report.
7:05 p.m. – An accident in front of Sparky’s got a report.
October 10
12:31 p.m. – An accident report was taken at Tad’s One Stop.
8:56 p.m. – Investigation of a 911 hangup at Spring & Center found no one in distress.
9:12 p.m. – A reported suspicious vehicle on Mountain St. was not spotted.
October 11
12:43 a.m. – Downtown was scoured for a missing woman who left a bar on foot. She was found and returned to her motel room.
5:45 a.m. – Burglar alarm at a Gaskins Switch business was checked and the area deemed secure.
4:21 p.m. – A minor traffic accident on Spring St. got itself a report.
4:39 p.m. – Another minor accident, this one on Kingshighway, also qualified for a report.
6:58 p.m. – A 911 hangup from Spring St. was checked up on.
11:44 p.m. – Loud music on Kansas St. was turned down.
October 12
2:25 a.m. – Two males with flashlights on Pine St. were reported as being suspicious.
5:46 a.m. – A reckless driver on Hwy. 23S was reported but not located.
9:09 a.m. – An abandoned vehicle on Spring St. got towed.
11:08 a.m. – ESPD got a call about a smoking car on N. Main but officer determined nothing was wrong with it.
2:22 p.m. – A parking dustup on Montgomery was resolved and no one was ticketed.
5:18 p.m. – A traffic hazard was reported on the historic loop, but officer didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
9:18 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances led officers to escort a female to where she could get comfort.
9:38 p.m. – Loud music on Kansas St. made on officer knock.
10:25 p.m. – Officer responded to a Pine St. residence due to a possible confrontation.
10:53 p.m. – A woman was arrested at Spring & Howell Sts. on an outstanding warrant.
October 13
1:19 a.m. – A woman in a motel room called 911 and she was taken to ESH for a medical issue.
6:06 a.m. – Caller said a seemingly intoxicated male and female were loitering around vehicles on Prospect, but responding officer said the woman did not seem drunk, she had merely forgotten where she parked.
12:02 p.m. – A vehicle that went missing from a rental property required a report.
12:11 p.m. – County dispatch advised of a 911 call on the historic loop, but no one was found to be in distress or needing emergency assistance.
12:11 p.m. – Odd paraphernalia was found by the room cleaner at a motel, but it was determined to be dialysis, not illegal, matter. It was taken to the hospital for proper disposal.
2:22 p.m. – A woman fell on Spring St. and was taken to ESH.
