June 27

10:31 a.m. – There was a private property traffic accident.

12:10 p.m. – Delivery truck driver told ESPD he had difficulty navigating a street in the northwest part of town because of the way two vehicles were parked. Responding constable determined the vehicles were parked appropriately, it was just a narrow roadway.

12:57 p.m. – Individuals came to the station to report child abuse.

2:00 p.m. – Renter called for constable assistance because she claimed the landlord was trying to remove her from her residence.

3:16 p.m. – Person bleeding from the head told the constable he had fallen and was okay.

6:52 p.m. – Suspicious male with a dog was making residents uncomfortable. He was gone when the constable arrived.

June 28

7:19 p.m. – Patient at ESH left the facility after she received intravenous medications. Constables searched for but did not encounter her.

June 29

12:47 a.m. – Alarm was triggered at a business, but the constable found no reason for it.

3:43 a.m. – Gas station attendant asked for a constable to check on two vehicles parked nearby. Constable complied.

9:51 a.m. – Observer claimed a car had been parked in the same spot for five days, and the owner was now laying on it with the music turned up. Constable advised the music lover she needed to pay to park there.

10:40 a.m. – Concerned witness reported what appeared to be a disoriented driver near downtown. Constable discovered the driver was lost and could not find a particular address.

12:54 p.m. – A van without a driver was parked in the middle of a downtown street. Constable found the driver and cleared the roadway.

2:43 p.m. – Tree fell across a street just north of downtown. Constable notified Public Works and the utility company.

7:56 p.m. – Employee of a business reported what appeared to be a vehicle in a ditch with a female standing beside it. Turns out the woman was taking photographs.

9:40 p.m. – Another tree came down across a roadway, but this time it was out of city limits. County authorities were notified.

10:06 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving left of center and driving on a suspended license.

11:37 p.m. – Passerby noticed a possibly intoxicated person on stairs behind a bank. Constables found him unresponsive and called EMS.

June 30

12:25 a.m. – Resident near downtown reported hearing someone behind her house. Constables discovered a male between her house and the hillside. They helped extricate him and took him to his motel.

12:57 a.m. – Benton County deputies picked up an individual on a Eureka Springs warrant for failure to appear for driving on a suspended license and no seat belt. The individual was transferred to a constable at the county line.

12:51 p.m. – Constable complied with a request for a welfare check. The person was okay.

2:23 p.m. – Constable on patrol came upon a parked vehicle at a vacant building. Upon further investigation, he found a male trying to climb the building. The climber claimed he was practicing climbing brick buildings. Constable told him to leave and don’t come back.

July 1

5:07 p.m. – An ex-employee not allowed on the premises of this former worksite went back anyway. Constable told him he would be arrested if he returned again.

5:19 p.m. – Fayetteville PD ask for constable assistance in conducting field interviews with two suspects. Constable spoke with one of the suspects and passed along the information.

6:41 p.m. – Constable assisted a motel owner return items belonging to a deceased person to the family.

8:39 p.m. – Constable responded to the report of a theft from a vehicle.

10 p.m. – There was a private property accident, and the parties did not want a report.

10:19 p.m. – Person was arrested on a warrant out of Fayetteville PD.

10:48 p.m. – Constable followed up on a 911 hang up call. Everyone was okay.

July 2

5:11 a.m. – There was a report of an explosion near a business on US 62. Constable determined it had been fireworks.

9:58 a.m. – Constable on patrol was flagged down because a motorcycle was on its side along US 62. The driver was uninjured, and he picked up his bike and left.

11:42 a.m. – Passerby was concerned about a dog in a parked vehicle on Main Street. Constable discovered the vehicle was in the shade, the dog had water and food and was not in distress.

11:51 a.m. – Patron at a restaurant reported several people using illegal pipes to smoke a possibly illegal substance. Constable went to the scene but found nothing illegal going on.

1:00 p.m. – Merchant downtown claimed a person had been sitting on a bench all morning trying to sell items. Constable asked the huckster to move along.

4:00 p.m. – Person came to the station to file a harassment report.

4:21 p.m. – Constable cited a vehicle blocking a street near downtown.

5:20 p.m. – Person parked in a downtown parking lot found herself blocked in. Constable came to the rescue.

8:19 p.m. – Gas station attendant reported an inebriated person, but the constable learned the person was not drunk after all.

9:34 p.m. – Constables issued a noise citation to a bar downtown.

11:06 p.m. – Constable went in search of a possibly intoxicated driver. He found the vehicle, but it was unoccupied.

July 3

2:12 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI, implied consent, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.

10:16 a.m. – Constable checked on an alarm at a building and spoke with the owner.

12:21 p.m. – Concerned passerby reported smelling gas at the top of Planer Hill. Constables checked all around but found no gas smell.

1:58 p.m. – Constable retrieved found property.

9:47 p.m. – Individual told ESPD about receiving harassing communications but did not want to press charges at the time.

10:22 p.m. – Someone reported loud music at a motel, and the constable asked the guests to turn it down.

10:40 p.m. – There was a complaint someone set off fireworks near a bar on US 62. Constable found no evidence of fireworks at the site but spread the word about no fireworks in city limits.

July 4

3:50 a.m. – Alarm rang out at a business on US 62, the constable found it secure.
