April 22

10:47 a.m. – A report was required for a one-vehicle accident near the east city limits.

12 N – A burglary alarm went off at a Van Buren residence. Officers cleared the residence and all was clear.

12:18 p.m. – A one-vehicle near the Grand and Dairy Hollow Rd. bike trail required a report.

April 23

6:31 a.m. – A woman requested officers do a welfare check on her dad, who was found to be fine.

2:40 p.m. – Officers saw a possible wanted person in a motel parking lot, when checked she was arrested on an outstanding county warrant and felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and the man she was with was arrested on outstanding ESPD and county warrants.

8:29 p.m. – An individual who hit a deer needed an ESPD report.

April 24

12:11 p.m. – County dispatch requested officers to respond to an irate patient causing a disturbance at the hospital. He was arrested for third-degree domestic battery and 1st degree criminal mischief.

1:24 p.m. – A woman was arrested on N. Main after a one-vehicle accident indicated she was eligible for DWI#1, and careless and prohibited driving.

April 25

2:18 a.m. – Officer responded to check on a woman who called 911 about her boyfriend being drunk and causing issues. There was no report.

8:12 a.m. –A store clerk asked an officer to remove a possibly intoxicated suspicious person from the property. He was arrested for public intox.

9:29 a.m. – A man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief and terroristic threatening. He was booked and allowed to bond.

9:32 a.m. – The desk clerk at a hotel advised ESPD of unattended property containing personal items of value on the stairs near Henri’s. Officer checked the area.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported a group of people walking around with mixed drinks, police made contact and advised the people of the open container law.

3:41 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported, but not located, around US62 and Hwy. 23.

6:42 p.m. – Officer responded to a residence in reference to assisting another agency. A female was arrested.

8:09 p.m. – Loud noises were reported but were nowhere to be found.

April 26

2:30 p.m. – Following an accident on Kingshighway, a man was arrested for DWI#3, driving on a suspended DL and refusing a chemical test.

4:55 p.m. – An officer visited on the phone with a man regarding a child custody problem.

5:59 p.m. – Two parties were spoken to in reference to child custody issues, and they were advised this was a civil issue. No report was done.

6:54 p.m. – Loud motorcycles were reported at Mountain and Main Sts. although no loud motorcycles were located.

9:43 p.m. – Officers responded to Spring and Pine Sts. for a pedestrian-vehicle accident. Victim was transported to the hospital and a driver was arrested for DWI, domestic battery and refusing a chemical test.

11 p.m. – Possibly racing motorcycles were reported on Armstrong St.

April 27

12:03 a.m. – A noise complaint at a motel was dealt with.

12:16 a.m. – Officers responded to a different motel for a noise complaint.

2:08 a.m. – Officers had to return to the motel as the noise was out of hand again.

2:42 p.m. – An accident was reported on Spring near the library, a report was taken.

3:50 p.m. – A large concrete stone was reported to be in the road on N. Main, but officer advised it was out of the roadway.

5:35 p.m. – Officer responded to Spring St. on a report of found property.

5:44 p.m. – Officer responded to a possible theft and advised the party this was a civil matter.

7:09 p.m. – A suspicious male in an orange shirt was reported, contacted, and advised.

7:49 p.m. – A traffic stop on Hwy. 23 resulted in arrest of a driver for his 3rd DWI, reckless driving, resisting arrest, refusing a chemical test and driving on a suspended DL due to DWI, open container and fleeing. A woman was arrested for public intox and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

8:17 p.m. – An intoxicated guest at a hotel warranted official intervention.

8:19 p.m. – Loud music was reported at a Van Buren residence and it was turned down.

10:29 p.m. – A disruptive couple were removed from a motel property.

April 28

12:54 a.m. – Officers responded to the east side of US62 to deal with a group of motorcyclists who were acting “suspiciously.”

2:06 a.m. – A domestic disturbance at a motel required an officer’s input.

11:51 a.m. – Caller requested a welfare check on his elderly mother who he was not able to contact for two days. The mother was checked on and was fine.
