February 18

3:01 p.m. – A black and white dog was put in the kennel to await getting sprung by its owner.

10:28 p.m. – Officers responding to reported gunshots on Pine St. were told by a neighbor said it was his son popping balloons.

February 19

9:49 a.m. – An officer was requested to take a report on a Penske rental truck being driven on a lawn and hitting property, etc.

2:20 p.m. – A vehicle in the historic district hit some cable lines causing the roadway to be cleared and the utility company notified.

February 20

4:13 a.m. – A restaurant alarm was making alarm noises but police determined there was no cause for alarm.

3:30 p.m. – A possible theft at a local business was investigated.

7:22 p.m. – People reported as being suspicious were checked out and found not to be.

February 21

6:14 p.m. – A report was taken in reference to theft at a local business.

February 22

2:15 a.m.– Noise makers on Elk St. were asked to keep it down.

3:08 a.m. – When an officer had to return to Elk St., occupants were told to cease and desist.

7:59 a.m. – Information was taken regarding a harassment complaint.

8:34 a.m. – A landlord/tenant dispute required official intervention.

6:33 p.m. – A report was needed on a disturbance call.

February 23

12:05 a.m. – A call asking for an intermediary at a wedding party disturbance was not needed after all.

2:48 p.m. – An open door was reported at a closed business on US62, but when an officer checked everything was locked up tight.

3:32 p.m. – No report was necessary in the call of a theft because the caller left.

10:15 p.m. – An officer responded to a traffic accident on First St.

11:39 p.m. – A 911 hangup was checked.

11:46 p.m. – Officer spoke with a complainant who wanted information on a business possibly operating outside of guidelines.

11:47 p.m. – A motel reported a suspicious vehicle and a cop checked it out.

11:57 p.m. – Philip Daniel Thomas, 32, was arrested for felony terroristic threatening and third degree domestic battery.

February 24

12:25 a.m. – Police were called to a disturbance at a S. Main St. bar.

11:32 a.m. – Police had a car that was blocking the roadway on Elk St. towed.

2 p.m. – A wandering brown and white pit bull mix managed to get itself picked up and kenneled.

5:24 p.m. – Officer took a report about harassing phone messages from an ex-restaurant employee.
