December 31

11:40 a.m. – Caller asked that an officer respond to a residence above her store regarding a disturbance. Officers were unable to locate anyone involved.

11:46 p.m. – Officers were alerted to barking dogs at Spring Street residence.

January 1

12:24 a.m. – A possible altercation at a north end bar was reported, but when officers arrived the complainant wasn’t at all sure he wanted to file a report.

7:39 a.m. – A driver was arrested at a traffic stop for suspended license and failure to pay motor vehicle registration.

12:32 p.m. – A motel owner reported an inebriated guest who refused to check out of his room, so he got himself arrested for public intoxication.

January 2

3:30 p.m. – A report was taken regarding theft from a church.

4:33 p.m. – A woman who reported an aggressive dog said she spoke with animal control and did not require police intervention.

January 3

12:28 p.m. – ESPD assisted with traffic control outside city limits at a two-vehicle accident on US62 and Onyx Cave Rd.

6:22 p.m. – Threats were reportedly made on Dairy Hollow Rd. and a report was taken.

7:35 p.m. – A domestic disturbance required a report.

January 4

2:21 p.m. – Suspicious activity reported on E. Van Buren was elusive to responding officer.

3:30 p.m. – A car accident on W. Van Buren called for police assistance.

4:26 p.m. – A possible break-in at a local business left officers stymied as there was no indication of a burglary.

5:50 p.m. – Officer was on the lookout for a bicyclist possibly needing a welfare check, but cyclist was not located.

11:43 p.m. – A man was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding revealed he had a suspended license.

January 5

7:07 a.m. – A woman pulled over for speeding was arrested for driving left of center and on a suspended license.

8:30 a.m. – A bondsman called ESPD for help in taking a bond skip into custody. A woman was arrested for felony warrants from Conway County, Boone County, Berryville and Clinton, and she was also charged with resisting arrest. A man with her was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Berryville and hindering apprehension.

10:15 a.m. – Traffic monitoring on Planer Hill was requested by a local business representative.

1:07 p.m. – Caller said someone in an old pickup tried to dump an old beer sign behind his dumpster.

3:44 p.m. – Officer was beckoned due to vehicles connecting on private property.

5:32 p.m. – A man on Main was arrested for public intox.

10:08 p.m. – An alarm was triggered after being set off by an employee opening the back door of a restaurant and not getting it reset before gendarmes arrived.

10:31 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle check resulted in the arrest of a man for violating a protection order.

January 6

12:41 p.m. – A traffic stop at the hospital resulted in a man getting arrested for possession of a controlled substance felony x 2, misdemeanor possession, possession of paraphernalia and careless driving.

2:23 p.m. – A fight at a highway bar progressed from inside to out, but the involved motorcyclists left heading west before police arrived. The aggressor, driving a pickup, headed east. Officer later encountered the aggressor and no charges were filed, however one hour later the aggressor was reported for not paying his bar tab.

8:06 p.m. – A woman arrested at a traffic stop on Hwy. 23S was charged with DWI.

January 7

12:25 a.m. – Police responding to a disturbance call arrested a man for public intox.
