September 24

1:15 a.m. – Constable heard there might be suspicious activity going on at a location, so he checked it out.

10:12 a.m. – A woman told ESPD she let someone stay at her home but caught the individual stealing, plus she was threatened. She told the constable she did not want to file a report but pursue a protection order and start the eviction process.

10:19 a.m. – Bank staff reported possible counterfeit checks.

11:03 a.m. – Individual filed a harassment report.

September 25

7:57 p.m. – Concerned onlooker called in a lost dog in a parking lot. Constable took it to the kennel.

September 26

10:23 a.m. – Witness claimed two juveniles on bikes were vandalizing a vacant business. Constable looked for vandalism and did not find any. He spoke with the two subjects and determined there had been no vandalism.

10:56 a.m. – Animal Control responded to a spot in the north part of town to pick up a stray dog, but it was gone when he got there.

3:21 p.m. – Constable attempted to conduct a welfare check at an address but was unable to speak to anyone.

8:54 p.m. – Constable returned to the same address for the same reason.

9:06 p.m. – Constable assisted EMS with a situation in the west part of town. EMS transported someone to ESH.

September 27

12:33 a.m. – Observer reported a vehicle with flashers on parked on a road in the north part of town. A constable was on scene when the owner returned and soon a tow truck arrived.

9:09 a.m. – Constable took a report of a window of a downtown shop broken during the night.

3:26 p.m. – Traffic accident resulted in the arrest of one driver for reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.

4:33 p.m. – Constable assisted CCSO deputies with a traffic accident.

6:23 p.m. – Another traffic accident. This time on US 62.

7 p.m. – One neighbor reported a loud disturbance along a street near downtown. Constable asked the disturbateurs to keep it down.

7:18 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver on an outstanding bench warrant out of Carroll County.

9:21 p.m. – As a result of a domestic disturbance, a 16-year old juvenile was referred to juvenile authorities.

11:01 p.m. – Individual was disturbing others at a restaurant on Main Street, but the constable never encountered him.

September 28

1 a.m. – There was a private property accident on Main Street.

9:23 a.m. – A neighbor complained a nearby dog barks constantly when it is left alone. Animal Control will follow up.

12:31 p.m. – Motorcyclist laid down his bike entering US 62. He got up but the bike remained in a ditch. Constable responded, but the cyclist did not want a report or medical assistance.

12:55 p.m. – Resident near downtown complained about motorcycle noise. Constables made regular tours of the area to check on noise levels.

3:51 p.m. – Concerned bystander downtown claimed motorcyclists were cursing and causing problems. Constables arrived and citations were awarded.

5 p.m. – There was an accident on US 62 toward the eastern edge of town.

6:30 p.m. – Constable went to check on a report that motorcyclists were drinking alcohol to excess.

7:52 p.m. – As a result of a domestic disturbance, one person was arrested for public intoxication.

10:56 p.m. – Constable went to Lake Leatherwood City Park to assist a guest.

11:47 p.m. – Constables checked on the welfare of a person walking down the highway.

September 29

9:50 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving on a suspended license and for a minor in possession of alcohol.

10:11 a.m. – Something triggered a residential burglary alarm, but the constable found the residence secure.

2:06 p.m. – Person involved in a dispute called for constable assistance. Before a constable arrived, the instigator left the scene.

4:44 p.m. – Someone found a purse downtown and a constable took it to the station.

8:42 p.m. – Onlookers reported a suspicious person in the neighborhood, and the constables arrested the person for public intoxication, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

September 30

8:29 a.m. – Constable filed a theft report.

7:52 p.m. – A domestic conflagration resulted in the woman leaving before the law arrived.

October 1

12:04 a.m. – Constables went to a motel because of a disturbance and arrested one person for criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

1:36 a.m. – More domestic disorder. Constables went to an apartment complex in the west part of town and spoke with a couple about their verbal disagreement. They agreed to go separate ways for the rest of the night.
