September 17

2:35 p.m. – Individual was harassing a road crew working on Hwy. 23 South. Constable intervened and told the person leave the workers be.

September 18

9:49 a.m. – There was an accident in a restaurant parking lot.

3:23 p.m. – Employee at a business reported a theft.

September 19

4:28 a.m. – Resident near downtown reported a possible domestic disturbance nearby. Constable on patrol looked for a disturbance but did not find one.

5:04 p.m. – Constable responded downtown to a vehicle left running and unoccupied.

September 20

8:51 a.m. – Constable issued a citation because a vehicle was parked in a time-limited spot too long.

9:53 p.m. – And not far away, a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot too long got a citation.

9:56 p.m. – Concerned witness reported a person walking around near vehicles parked by a motel pool. Constable determined the situation was okay because the person was a guest.

10:13 p.m. – Constable went downtown because of a report of a traffic problem. There were no traffic problems when he got there.

September 21

4:36 a.m. – ESH staff called for a constable to help a parent with an upset teenager.

8:01 a.m. – Someone accidentally set off the holdup alarm at a business on US 62.

8:35 a.m. – During the night, someone ran over a mailbox and street sign near downtown.

12:10 p.m. – Constables searched a neighborhood above downtown as well as local motels for a Slingshot that veered off a street and into a mailbox. No luck finding the culprit.

1:57 p.m. – A mother and daughter were having a verbal flare-up at a restaurant. Constable intervened.

6:26 p.m. – Report came in about people causing a disturbance on a downtown street, but the constables never saw them.

7:33 p.m. – There was an accident on US 62.

11:34 p.m. – Constable performed a welfare check at a motel.

September 22

12:20 p.m. – Parked car posed a traffic hazard, and the constable asked the owner to move it.

1:56 p.m. – There was a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 23 North. Constable assisted until deputies arrived.

2:30 p.m. – Business owner asked for constable assistance with an inebriated person in the store. The constable arrested the person for public intoxication.

11:12 p.m. – Caller near downtown heard a female scream very loudly. Constable scoured the area but did not find anything untoward.

11:33 p.m. – Constable assisted a motorist with a vehicle malfunction.

September 23

5:04 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for careless and imprudent driving, felony possession of a controlled substance x3, felony possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

7:42 a.m. – Individual passed out in his vehicle was arrested for public intoxication.

12:54 p.m. – Person told ESPD her friend had texted about harming herself. Constable spoke with the texter and learned she was okay and getting ready to leave town.

4:37 p.m. – Constable responded to the location of a baby reportedly crying for hours.

5:11 p.m. – Pedestrians on a street near downtown came across a personal safe and called for a constable.

11:36 p.m. – Constables heard about a domestic dust-up at a bar, and arrested one person for public intoxication.

September 24

1:15 a.m. – Onlooker reported suspicious activity near a tourist lodging.
