August 20

12:25 p.m. – Concerned neighbor asked for a constable to check on possible activity in a vacant house. The owner’s daughter was staying there.

12:27 p.m. – There was a two-vehicle accident downtown, and the drivers decided they did not need a report.

3:38 p.m. – Individual reported a burglary.

5:43 p.m. – Caller told ESPD he was new to town and was looking at the Victoria Inn when he noticed a person walk out of a third floor room and quickly go back inside upon seeing someone. Constable secured the site but did not encounter anyone.

6:20 p.m. – CCSO arrested two people with outstanding ESPD warrants.

August 21

8:56 a.m. – Constable responded to a burglary alarm at a downtown business and found the place secure.

4:45 p.m. – Person downtown reported a purse was missing. Constable helped out and the purse was found.

August 22

1:40 p.m. – Caller reported a reckless driver. Constable went to the scene and spoke with the caller and the alleged reckless one about safe driving.

4:45 p.m. – Constable took a report about an accident on US 62.

10:54 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of one person on an ESPD warrant.

August 23

1:15 a.m. – Passerby reported a person in Basin Park being suspicious. Responding constable learned the person was waiting for a ride.

7:23 a.m. – Constable initiated a traffic stop for traffic violations and arrested the driver for driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

10:08 p.m. – Another traffic stop and an arrest of someone for an outstanding warrant.

August 24

2:41 a.m. – Constable went to Lake Leatherwood City Park to ask certain campers to turn down their music.

7:13 a.m. – Individual on Main Street reported an apparently sick deer laying in the yard. Animal Control agreed the deer was very sick, Arkansas Fish & Game advised ESPD to put the deer down and someone from their office would respond to check for diseases.

7:58 a.m. – Observer of a hit and run accident called in with information about the adverse vehicle. Owner of the victim vehicle did not want a report and constables never encountered the offending vehicle.

9:26 a.m. – Owner of a tourist lodging reported an apparently abandoned vehicle in a parking lot. Constable determined the vehicle was not on a list of stolen vehicles, and the property owner had it towed.

9:58 a.m. – Lowell PD had detained a person wanted by ESPD, and he was picked up and served the warrant.

3:39 p.m. – Concerned resident reported a suspicious vehicle nearby, but it was not there when the constable arrived.

11:43 p.m. – A possibly intoxicated individual in the south part of town was trying to enter a downstairs apartment. Constables spoke with the complainant but found no one suspicious in the area.

August 25

12:50 p.m. – Motel staff reported damage to a room. Constables who responded arrested one person for public intoxication and criminal mischief.

7:31 p.m. – Person walking a dog found a cell phone. Constable put in the lost and found.

2:53 p.m. – There was an accident in a parking lot.

4:44 p.m. – Constables assisted EMS with a medical call on Main Street.

5:49 p.m. – Constable advised a person on how to get her property.

7:24 p.m. – Someone near downtown needed constable assistance.

7:43 p.m. – Constable went to a business to retrieve a lost credit card.

8:24 p.m. – Someone in the northwest part of town reported suspicious activity, but constables found nothing to report.

8:24 p.m. – At the same time, staff at a motel reported a possible trespasser, but the constable did not find anyone.

8:45 p.m. – Concerned observer reported a possibly intoxicated female walking alongside US 62. Constables did not encounter her.

10:55 p.m. – Constable retrieved a person arrested in Clark County on an ESPD warrant for failure to appear.

August 26

12:06 a.m. – There was a domestic disruption near downtown and constables responded.

12:37 a.m. – Individual was arrested for public intoxication.

8:22 a.m. – Motorist on US 62 headed to town from the east claimed the driver up ahead kept crossing the yellow lines. Constable watched for but did not encounter the vehicle.

10:18 a.m. – There was a scooter accident alongside US 62. The driver was treated for minor injuries but declined a report.

11:03 a.m. – Constable responded to a downtown shop to arrest someone for shoplifting.

12:53 p.m. – In a downtown parking lot, one vehicle rolled out of gear and into another one. Very little damage and no report.

5:38 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving on a suspended license.

8:05 p.m. – Individual came to the station to report her ex-boyfriend came onto her property and took items that belonged to her.
