July 16

3:55 p.m. – Caller told ESPD she had been hit in the face by another female. Constable on patrol scurried to the location for a report.

5:54 p.m. – Individual was arrested on a Boone County warrant.

9:33 p.m. – Someone reported fireworks coming from the commercial area of US 62. Constable did not find any fireworks.

11:55 p.m. – Constables were alerted to a possible disturbance and they found kids playing in a pool.

July 17

1:04 a.m. – In an agency assist, constables assisted a stranded motorist outside city limits on US 62 West. They discovered the driver had outstanding warrants out of Berryville and CCSO. A deputy arrived to take over.

7:42 a.m. – There was a report of possible gunshots coming from North Main. The constable did not find anything to report.

8:15 a.m. – Someone thought a vehicle near the high school track seemed suspicious. The constable determined it was okay and for sale.

10:37 a.m. – Constable took a report for a two-vehicle no-injury accident.

12:54 p.m. – Central dispatch passed along an erratic driver report. The constable watched for but did not encounter the vehicle.

3:52 p.m. – There was a minor private property accident which required no report.

8:20 p.m. – Constable followed up on a 911 hang-up call and found everything okay in the vicinity.

10:20 a.m. – Someone claimed a person at a motel seemed suspicious, but the constable determined she was okay.

July 18

2:47 a.m. – Observer in a neighborhood above downtown alerted ESPD to a female banging on doors and screaming. Constable arrested her for disorderly conduct.

9:55 a.m. – Resident near downtown reported a dead deer stuck in a gate. Animal Control removed the animal.

1:51 p.m. – Constables assisted ESFD with traffic control downtown.

3:57 p.m. – Constable on patrol checked on a reportedly suspicious person and determined he was okay.

4:27 p.m. – Constable filed a private property accident report.

5:06 p.m. – A reportedly abandoned vehicle downtown checked out okay.

5:20 p.m. – Constable assisted CCSO on a traffic stop.

5:59 p.m. – There was a disturbance in a business.

7:41 p.m. – Dogs were tied to a front porch, and the constable found them doing just fine.

11 p.m. – Someone broke a window of a downtown business.

July 19

7:39 a.m. – At another business, the constable determined there had been another attempted forced entry.

9:17 a.m. – Employees accidentally set off an alarm.

10:25 a.m. – A merchant filed a burglary report.

5:30 p.m. – Vehicle was parked on a sidewalk temporarily, but it was gone before a constable got there.

7:12 p.m. – In a neighborhood above downtown, a fallen tree brought power lines down onto a vehicle. The utility company responded.

7:20 p.m. – More power lines down on US 62.

8:18 p.m. – And a fallen tree obstructed an intersection near downtown. Constable and Public Works got the call.

8:39 p.m. – Just outside city limits, constable responded to a tree threatening to bring down more power lines. Central dispatch and the utility company were notified.

8:45 p.m. – Constable intervened in a discussion about a vehicle.

11:35 p.m. – A disturbance at a bar drew the attention of the constables who arrested one patron on a Barry County warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 20

6:18 a.m. – As the result of a disturbance in an apartment, constables arrested one person for third degree domestic battery.

2:07 p.m. – There was vandalism on stairs in front of a business.

4:05 p.m. – Constable watched for but did not encounter a reported reckless driver.

5:15 p.m. – There was a noise complaint about motorcycles downtown, but the constable did not hear anything noisy when he was there.

5:45 p.m. – Constables responded to a disturbance in the ESPD parking lot.

7:42 p.m. – As the result of a hit and run accident downtown, constables arrested the driver for DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, implied consent, careless driving, endangering the welfare of a minor x 2.

July 21

2:30 a.m. – Constable gathered information about a reportedly stolen vehicle.

9:29 a.m. – Individual said he found a lawnmower that had been reported stolen. Constable retrieved the mower.

9:46 a.m. – Constable checked out the area of a 911 hang-up call and found no signs of any disturbance.

12:40 p.m. – Resident near downtown reported a door that had been broken into. Constable found the residence secure.

4:14 p.m. – ESPD and EMS responded to a moped accident. The driver was transported to ESH.

4:25 p.m. – One vehicle rear-ended another one on US 62 in the east part of town.

5:16 p.m. – Person was arrested on a warrant out of Boone County.

6:50 p.m. – Constables asked persons loitering near a business to move along.

7:01 p.m. – Disturbance at a motel drew the attention of a constable. He asked the couple to stay inside for the rest of the night.

9:10 p.m. – Constable looked for a deer that might have been hit.

July 22

12:39 a.m. – There was a noise complaint about guests at a motel.

12:49 a.m. – Constables spoke with a possibly intoxicated person downtown who called for a taxi.

8:13 a.m. – Constable responded to a minor private property accident with no injuries.

10:27 p.m. – Call came in about a person with a history of medical issues who left home on foot. Constables found her and she returned home.

July 23

12:15 a.m. – Constable on patrol downtown was alerted to an altercation brewing nearby. He arrested two individuals for public intoxication.
