June 18

8:18 a.m. – Stolen vehicle report prompted a constable to respond with a deputy to an address at Holiday Island where they came across the missing vehicle.

9:05 a.m. – Person whose vehicle was stolen called in as it was being found by authorities.

11:35 a.m. – Individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

11:53 a.m. – Staff at a motel at first claimed a guest had left without paying, but a constable spoke with the caller who realized there had been a misunderstanding.

8:01 p.m. – Constable intervened in a dispute about parking.

June 19

4 a.m. – Constable went to a business on US 62 to check on a reportedly suspicious person.

5:53 a.m. – Next, a constable went to a restaurant to watch for a disgruntled ex-employee.

7:59 a.m. – There was a vandalism incident at a residence near downtown.

11:01 a.m. – Faulty change machine downtown required a constable’s deftness with a screwdriver.

3:59 p.m. – Report came in about a male walking too close to the roadway. Constable determined the individual was okay.

4:17 p.m. – Constable followed up on an earlier report.

4:30 p.m. – Witness reported a vehicle backed up at a busy intersection and almost hit another vehicle. Constable found the vehicle parked and did not find its driver.

5:23 p.m. – Another incident of vandalism very near the previous location.

7:33 p.m. – ESPD was alerted to a possibly impaired driver on Main Street. Constables encountered the person and transported her to her hotel.

9:22 p.m. – Constable encountered a limping pedestrian along Hwy. 23 South, but the person insisted he was fine.

June 20

10:24 a.m. – Animal Control issued a warning to the owner of a dog running loose with no collar.

11:48 a.m. – Staff at a business reported an unwanted person would not leave the premises, but a speedy exit was achieved quickly upon arrival of a constable.

12:49 p.m. – Resident with a vehicle parked near downtown claimed a neighbor was going through it. Constable spoke with both parties and counseled the neighbor about breaking and entering laws.

June 21

1:55 a.m. – Apartment dwellers were making a disturbance, but they told the constable they were going to behave.

6:33 a.m. – Observer who claimed a person was lurking near a business on US 62 also heard loud noises in that vicinity. Constable went to the scene but did not encounter any lurkers or reasons for noise.

11:12 a.m. – Caller claimed a dog was locked inside a parked vehicle, but the vehicle was gone when a constable came to check.

6:03 p.m. – Caller downtown reported hearing what might have been gunshots. Constable scoured the area but found nothing to report.

8:39 p.m. – Someone complained of loud music in the south part of town, but the constable did not hear any loud music.

June 22

11:24 a.m. – Alarm was triggered at a business on US 62.

1:45 p.m. – Constable filed a theft report.

3:43 p.m. – Resident accidentally called 911 and hung up.

7:45 p.m. – Two individuals had a verbal dustup downtown but left the area before constables could respond.

9:45 p.m. – Constables were able to track down a vehicle that had struck a pole at the stadium and speak with the owner.

10:53 p.m. – Restaurant patrons were reportedly inebriated, and constables went to check on the situation.

June 23

7:50 a.m. – Caller claimed someone broke into her vehicle overnight.

8:48 a.m. – Management at a business reported a theft by an employee.

9:55 a.m. – Report came in about vandalism to a sign. Constable went to investigate, but it looked like the sign had already been fixed.

2:01 p.m. – There was a hit and run accident in a downtown parking lot.

3:41 p.m. – A constable assisted CCSO by stopping a vehicle on a county road and issuing a citation.

7 p.m. – There was a 911 hang-up call from the western part of town, but the constable did not find anything to report.

7:21 p.m. – There was a temporary traffic dilemma in a neighborhood near downtown.

7:25 p.m. – Vehicles were parked at an abandoned business. Constables checked out the individuals and asked them to leave the premises.

8:25 p.m. – Constables were flagged down as they encountered the scene of an accident, and they arrested one individual for DWI, implied consent and careless driving.

11:39 p.m. – There was a noise complaint at a motel.

11:50 p.m. – Constable checked on another 911 hang-up call.

June 24

1:11 a.m. – And another 911 hang-up call.

7:56 a.m. – Restaurant staff thought a vehicle parked by their door seemed suspicious. The driver told the constable he was just using the Wi-Fi, and he left the property.

10:31 a.m. – Individual pacing back and forth on a street prompted a call to ESPD. The person had paced out of the area before the constable arrived.

4:45 p.m. – A mother asked to speak with a constable about an incident involving her child.

5:33 p.m. – Concerned observer reported a possibly intoxicated person wandering around near the Community Center and repeatedly crossing US 62. Constable looked for but did not encounter the wanderer.
