April 2

6:43 a.m. – Constable on patrol initiated a traffic stop and arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.

7:36 p.m. – Constable took a report about credit card fraud.

April 3

4:36 a.m. – Alarm at a bank was triggered. Constable checked the perimeter of the property and walked through the building with bank staff who reset the alarm.

4:20 p.m. – Constable responded to an address on Main Street to take a report of a theft.

April 4

11:37 a.m. – Passerby reported a vehicle with items inside but no vehicle license had been parked beside a road for a few days. Constable determined the vehicle was out of the roadway but it would be red-tagged if not moved promptly.

8:08 p.m. – A 911 hang-up call apparently originated from the high school, but the constable toured the area and found nothing.

11:13 p.m. – There was a disturbance in an apartment complex, and constables arrested one individual on an ESPD warrant.

April 5

1:23 a.m. – Guests at a motel claimed an intoxicated person was harassing them. That person was nowhere to be found when the constable arrived.

7:03 a.m. – Constable assisted EMS at an emergency at a residence.

4:59 p.m. – Witness on US 62 reported a vehicle being driven in an erratic fashion. Constable never saw it.

April 6

8:19 a.m. – Local resident called State Police to declare he was in fear for his life and would not speak above a whisper. Caller got irritated when the dispatcher asked questions about the situation. Constables made contact with the caller, and he declined assistance.

12:50 p.m. – Individual returned home after being out of town to find someone had broken into his house and had stolen items. Constables gathered information at the scene.

3:31 p.m. – Constables followed up on report of a possibly intoxicated driver. They spoke to the driver and determined he was not intoxicated.

11:39 p.m. – Guests at a motel were being loud, and the constable asked them to cool it for the night.

11:45 p.m. – Constables performed a welfare check on a person at a tourist lodging. She told them she had an argument with her boyfriend and he had left for the night.

April 7

3:36 a.m. – There was a loud party not far from downtown, and constable asked folks to be quiet.

4:04 a.m. – They were not quiet, so the constable returned with a sterner warning.

8:01 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving on a suspended license, displaying a fictitious vehicle license and failure to yield.

10:36 a.m. – Something triggered the alarm at a downtown business, but the constable found the building secure.

12:11 p.m. – Staff at a business on US 62 reported a suspicious person on the premises, but the person was gone when a constable arrived.

1:36 p.m. – A person hanging around outside a bank seemed suspicious, but the constable checked and determined things were okay.

1:56 p.m. – Concerned observer reported a vehicle with a child hanging out the window entering the city limits. Constables never encountered the vehicle.

5:59 p.m. – An observer in a neighborhood above downtown said a person in a parked vehicle was acting crazy. Constables arrived to find him apparently having a fit in the vehicle. EMS transported him to ESH where he was cleared medically. Constable arrested him for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

10:41 p.m. – Individual in a bar was acting angry and belligerent. He and a companion were arrested for public intoxication.

12:22 p.m. – Someone stole the proceeds from a parking lot fundraiser downtown.

3:51 p.m. – Constable determined young kids had made a 911 hang-up call from the pay phone at Lake Leatherwood City Park.
