March 26

9:49 a.m. – Constable recovered a syringe found in front of a business downtown.

12:32 p.m. – Vehicle with a flat tire had been taking up parking spots in a neighborhood for at least a week. Constable warned someone at the owner’s address the vehicle would be towed in 24 hours.

March 27

11:01 p.m. – Alarm was triggered at a downtown restaurant.

March 28

12:17 a.m. – Constables went to a neighborhood above downtown to look for a possible trespasser.

12:52 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI and driving on a suspended license.

1:53 p.m. – Central dispatch alerted ESPD to a call from Benton County about a possibly suicidal male in Eureka Springs. After responding, constables transported him to ESH.

6:43 p.m. – Individual left ESH after he was advised to get a mental health evaluation. Constables searched for him to no avail. He was located the next morning at his job.

March 29

2:48 a.m. – Central dispatch asked for agency assistance watching for a vehicle connected to a breaking and entering incident. Constables complied but were later told to disregard the alert because of conflicting information.

2:43 p.m. – Resident claimed she was followed and then yelled at by a particular person as she walked toward town on Spring Street and again later as she walked her dog. Constable gathered information about the other person.

5:08 p.m. – Someoone downtown accidentally made a 911 hang-up call.

8:14 p.m. – Constable responded to reports of a runaway juvenile. He located the individual and transported the juvenile to the PD. Individual was later transported to ESH by EMS.

March 30

8:15 a.m. – Concerned observer reported a hotel shuttle van did not stay in its lane of traffic on several trips through a neighborhood just north of downtown. Information was passed along to a constable.

9:21 a.m. – There was a minor accident on the eastern end of US 62. No injuries and drivers moved the vehicles off the roadway. Constable filed a report.

9:32 a.m. – Cabin owner claimed someone was in an unused cabin and had broken into another cabin to use the water. When the constable arrived, one person ran into the woods. The constable spoke with everyone else on site and they came to an agreement with the owner.

12:34 p.m. – A lamb ran free among passing traffic on US 62 near Pine Mountain Village. Animal Control and helpful passersby corralled it and its owner later claimed it and heard about a city ordinance that prohibits grazing of non-poultry livestock within city limits.

2:47 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of one individual on an outstanding warrant and another for possession of drug paraphernalia.

4:16 p.m. – Central dispatch alerted ESPD to a two-vehicle crash on US 62. One person was transported to ESH.

7:59 p.m. – Employees at a downtown business were having difficulties which prompted a visit by a constable.

10:52 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for careless driving/speeding, possession of a controlled substance and an expired driver’s license.

March 31

12:18 a.m. – Constable went to ESH to speak with a person who said he was having problems with his roommate. Constable determined the commotion was in Missouri and referred him to an agency there.

4:44 a.m. – Constable responded to the city limit to assist CCSO.

7:25 a.m. – Constable initiated a traffic stop for traffic violations and arrested the driver on a warrant out of Madison County.

10:39 a.m. – Passerby reported offensive material in Basin Park and the constable removed it.

11:28 a.m. – Daughter asked for a welfare check on her mother. Constable went to the address but no one was home.

8:33 p.m. – Over the phone, a constable advised a caller about a landlord dispute.

8:35 p.m. – Constables responded to a possible assault on Main Street. They gathered information and filed a report.

8:58 p.m. – Girlfriend asked for constable assistance with her boyfriend at ESH. Upon arriving, constables saw a male who appeared intoxicated run away into the neighborhood. Constables were unable to find him. The girlfriend said she would call if he showed up, then went home.

9:32 p.m. – Before long, the intoxicated runaway returned to ESH, and constables placed him under arrest.

April 1

12:29 a.m. – Central dispatch alerted ESPD to a 911 hang-up call. Constable toured the area and encountered a motorist with a disabled vehicle and assisted him.

1:34 a.m. – Constable filed a report on criminal mischief.

10:22 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI, careless driving and driving on a suspended license.

11:18 a.m. – Staff at a care facility asked for a constable to file a report.

3:03 p.m. – Constables provided traffic assistance at the scene of a structure fire.

3:43 p.m. – Witness noticed an individual looking into parked cars. Constables encountered him and advised him to leave the premises.
