April 16

7:32 a.m. – Constable responded to a request to check on violation of a no contact and no trespass order, but found no one at home.

8:02 a.m. – Central dispatch reported a pickup in a ravine, but constables found no one around. Constable located the driver at his place of work, and that man declined to file a report.

2:17 p.m. – Constable took a person into custody on a warrant out of Berryville PD.

11:03 p.m. – Vehicle hit a deer on US 62, and constables went to the location to look for it.

11:11 p.m. – Someone reported a suspicious vehicle parked near downtown, but it was gone when the constable arrived.

April 17

12:40 a.m. – Individual was arrested for public intoxication.

5:18 p.m. – People downtown were loitering and asking for money. Constable checked them out.

6:50 p.m. – Constable went to perform a welfare check on an adult and child but did not find them.

7:50 p.m. – Constable went to another location for a welfare check and the person said he was okay.

7:53 p.m. – There was a 911 hang-up call from just east of downtown, and the constable spoke with the caller who said things were fine.

April 18

10:32 a.m. – Observer reported a wanted person was at an address. Constable encountered the person and arrested him.

12:30 p.m. – Person in Basin Park was drinking whiskey out of a bottle. He was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines.

1:26 p.m. – Female gained entry into the back of a residence and triggered an alarm and then ran into nearby woods. Constables did not find her.

5:09 p.m. – Call came in about people being loud downtown, Constable arrested one person who was intoxicated.

April 19

10:35 a.m. – Constable assisted an innkeeper who was having difficulty with guests.

2:05 p.m. – Constable checked on a custody situation and found the children were with their grandmother and doing okay.

7:44 p.m. – The constable performed a noise level check on music at a bar.

7:58 p.m. – After a second noise level check, the constable asked the bar to turn down the music.

8:06 p.m. – Another noise complaint came in about another location, but the band was not playing when the constable got there.

9:50 p.m. – And another noise complaint about the first bar prompted the constable to ask them again to turn down their music.

April 20

2 p.m. – Witness reported a male was walking up and down a neighborhood street yelling. Constable learned the person was looking for his runaway dog.

2:52 p.m. – One shop owner accused another shop owner of harassment. Constable spoke with both of them.

8:03 p.m. – Individual complained of transients in a wooded area. Constable determined the area in question was out of city limits.

8:26 p.m. – People at a downtown restaurant claimed staff had stolen their cell phone. Staff disputed the claim and did not want the people to return to the premises.

8:27 p.m. – Observer told ESPD a fight was about to erupt in Basin Park. Constables found the alleged combatants not far away, and they said they were just messing around.

8:31 p.m. – Constable responded to a bar because of a noise complaint but found the place quiet.

10:59 p.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI, driving left of center, refusal to submit, implied consent, reckless driving and an open container.

April 21

12:26 p.m. – Constable issued a citation for a vehicle parked in a red zone and blocking a driveway.

2:35 p.m. – There was a private property accident in a parking lot.

4:24 p.m. – Constable initiated a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving on a suspended license and for a noise ordinance violation.

7:48 p.m. – Constable got a report of a possibly intoxicated driver downtown but did not encounter the vehicle.

9:38 p.m. – There was a fight at a bar. Constables responded and taxis were called to escort the pugilists to their rooms.

April 22

2:19 a.m. – There was a disturbance at a liquor store.

7:34 a.m. – Two persons were sleeping on the stage in Basin Park. A constable asked them to wake up and move along.

11:43 a.m. – A hitchhiker was reportedly acting erratically when passersby did not stop. Constable went to the scene.

11:58 a.m. – Constables followed up on a 911 hang-up call from near downtown, but everything checked out.

4:22 p.m. – Two people were loitering at a gas station and asking customers for a ride. The constable encountered them walking down the highway and gave them a warning.
