Executive Director Mike Maloney told commissioners April 11 that a new kiosk will arrive soon and will be installed at the Branson Airport. He also had five new graphics panels created for the kiosks.
- The ad hoc Christmas committee continues to gather input from the public as they plan for a busy Christmas season.
- The Bike Eureka website has been preliminarily launched, and the mountain biking group has been meeting twice a month to keep up with ongoing activities. Much discussion centered around the 20th Fat Tire Festival and how the city, the Chamber, and the Parks Department can participate as the event continues to grow. Maloney said 750-800 participants are expected, and the event has been a good fit for the city.
- Maloney said word is getting out that Eureka Springs has the only downhill mountain biking trails in our area, and international riders have begun visiting.
- The wedding committee has identified targets for advertising in the state, including the University of Arkansas. New bridal photos have been added to the .org site.
- Maloney said he, Mayor Butch Berry and Chamber CEO Paul Miller met with Congressman Steve Womack to discuss issues including Eureka Springs Hospital, the local economy and tourism.
- Publicist Gina Rambo and Sales Director Karen Pryor will have a booth in Branson at the National Tour Writers Association conference on April 27. Some of the participants will continue to Eureka Springs for a two-day visit. The CAPC plans to provide dinner for as many as 18 of the participants.
- Maloney said videographer Edward Robison is developing creative video ideas related to culinary which identify Eureka Springs as a culinary destination. The video will be completed by mid-May.
- He will be meeting with network television affiliates in Kansas City in early May to explore ad opportunities.

- Events Coordinator Andy Green said during Blues Weekend, June 15-17, Selwyn Birchwood will play Friday, June 15, as part of the Basin Park Music Series. Appearing at the Auditorium Saturday, June 16, will be John Mayall, with special guest Carolyn Wonderland. The Folk Festival weekend will be Nov. 8 – 11.
- Commissioners voted 4-1, commissioner Carol Wright voting No, to endorse the donation which made the downhill trails project at Lake Leatherwood Park possible and express appreciation for the benevolence of the donor.
Next workshop will be Wednesday, April 25, at 4 p.m., and the next regular meeting will be Wednesday, May 9, at 6 p.m.
