Blues are so cool

Scorching temperatures didn’t stop many from going to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge to listen to the blues music playing on the plateau. Big names such as The Cate Brothers, CeDell Davis, and Brick Fields played at Turpentine, and there was even more music around town throughout the weekend.

  1. Sorry you didn’t like the change to our new home at TCWR. We won’t be back to The Auditorium unless they can make some major changes to better accommodate our event. Luckily, the vast majority of the people who attended had a great time. How long ago were those eight years in a row? Back before 2007, when the city lost so much money they cancelled their Blues Festival? The reason why I ask is according to our records, we have only had a John Allen buy tickets from us once since 2009, back in 2013. Sorry you didn’t give our new venue a chance. It was named one of the top ten most beautiful blues festivals in the world.

  2. I’ve been there 8 years in a row. Put the headliners back in the Auditorium or I will never come again.
