A special screening on Friday, Oct. 26, will feature the premiere of the DVD from the performance of Willo Mancifoot the Musical.

The play, adapted from a book written and illustrated by Valerie Hubbard Damon, featured a cast of more than 30. Those cast members and the production team will reunite a week from this Friday, from 4-6 p.m. at Main Stage.
Valerie describes this as an “open house” event, with the DVD playing continuously in the theater. The front room reserved for refreshments and socializing. “We’ll have some catering, but cast members are welcome to bring treats, also,” Valerie said.

She explained that the cast party was initially planned for a few weeks after the performances in early May. They encountered some serious technical problems in the production of the DVD, but the finished product will be worth the wait.

“We have a really nice case with art work,” Valerie said. The package also includes a CD with the music for all the songs, and the lyrics.

DVD sales will help support Main Stage. “We’re donating thirty percent of the DVD sales,” Valerie said. The DVD will also be available at a craft fair at Main Stage on Nov. 23-24. Some galleries around town will sell the DVD, and it will also be on sale at the Indy Art Fair.
