Five-piece rock band Vintage Pistol gives jamming new life, with all but one song on their EP “Second Amendment” stretching for more than five minutes. VP strives to make the label “shred til ya dead” their own. The talent and soul of the band is apparent in a live show, guitar jams taking you on a trip down the rabbit hole and segueing into the next tune. Vintage Pistol’s self description “Imagine if the Allman Brothers Band went on a trippy magic carpet with The Black Keys and all of it was being narrated by Van Morrison” hits the nail headless. Guitar driven, roots based rock with almost a quarter of the set devoted to jams is what this Fayetteville band offers, so hear them at Chelsea’s Friday night at 9:30 p.m.
